I recently had a really weird dream I can't figure out, and can remember having it a while ago. In it, I first found myself riding around in a flying car with my family, cousin, and his family. The cousin was being unbelievably obnoxious, contrary to his regular well-mannered behavior. We flew to Macy's, and the dream changed.
I was in my current house, though without my family in it. Some kind of class was being taught about cowboys by three different teachers: one was a guy and had done evil (burned slaves in his backyard during civil war times, though the dream took place in modern day), the other was also a guy and fat and greedy, and the last was a woman whom I couldn't see but somehow knew she was there and that she was really sweet but wouldn't come out because she was afraid of the other men. The class was being taught by the evil man in front of my porch with a bunch of students around me taking notes. He was pulled to the side by the fat man in front of my garage. I followed, and found them fighting over a padlock and key. I realized I was the one holding the padlock with key inside. The first time I had this dream, I couldn't decide who to give it to and they both got mad at me. This time, I gave it to the evil man who just smiled triumphantly. The class continued.
My dream changed again and this time I was watching a horror movie, in which a family buys a haunted house and starts living in it. The movie ends with whatever dark thing that was in the house killing the mom when the daughter runs out to try and tell her father that the house was evil. The dark thing (in the shape of a shadow) hung the mom in the branches of a dead tree in their yard. This last part was very scary because I could feel some kind of connection between me and the girl.
Other differences are: the first time, my cousin wasn't in it (probably because I hadn't met him), the last part with the horror movie hadn't happened, and I didn't recognize my current house because I wasn't living in it.
It's a very long description, but I dreamt vividly and feel as if every detail counts. Any help interpreting this dream would really be apreciated.

Oh, forgot something: my cousin was helping me pack and move boxes in my previous home. We were moving to the current home.

I've read this, and I need to think a lil bit. I've been taking cold meds and I don't want to give you misleading info, but I wanted you to know, I did read it, and I will respond soon.

I think the part about the class and the 3 people is about learning to further trust your intuition (feminine). I think the woman who is hiding represents a higher wisdom but 'she' feels bombarded by the presence of the other two scary males. I wonder if it means you need to trust your own intuition more...so that this wiser feminine part is not longer feeling like it has to hide...?
That's what I could get from that part of the dream. Don't know about the rest though

Thanks VirgoMask, I know what you're talking about. I usually don't try and use intuition for much because whenever I do, it turns out to only be emotion and doesn't really guide me anywhere. Maybe emotion is one of the things stopping me from really using my intuition...?
Yeah, I'm not very clear on the other parts either. I have very weird dreams usually Only a few have been meaningful though.

Yeah, the ol' schism between intuition and emotion....I know it well. It's hard to tap into intuition when emotions are in the way. At the same time, sometimes emotion is a by-product of intuition...like when you know in your gut something is a certain way, and you feel yourself reacting to it (emotionally)...it almost covers up the intuition.

The strange thing is that the men in that part of your dream seem like they are more driven by emotion than the woman (both men seemed driven by greed, indulgence, and one of them by hate...very PRIMAL, base feelings). So maybe they are the ones demanding attention since they are so obvious. In your dream they 'get you' to pay attention to them since they're so loud. The fear from the female is also base tho quieter.

Hello CS, here are some thoughts on your dream...

Your said you were riding in a flying car. I assume when you said that you were riding in it, you meant you were not driving. This is significant.
Cars can symbolize not only status in life, but also goals and ambitions. Your car was flying! So, I think you do have many goals and ambitions for yourself.
The fact that your cousin, who may respresent someone else, btw, was acting out in an annoying way, may suggest that there is someone/thing currently annoying you, or distracting you, in your current pursuits.

Your house is a symbol for yourself. And you say that there are three people in your house that are teaching a class, about cowboys.
Cowboys can represent the urge to strike out on ones own, do things independantly, it's a sort of rebellion symbol in a way.

Anyway, I think the three teachers are all you, just different parts of your psyche. Maybe some parts that you repress, which come out in dreams, when we do not have power to repress.

All in all your dreams is about knowledge, and this, I think is knowledge you already posess.

Knowledge symbols...

*History/historical- cowboys and civil war
*Tree (think 'tree of knowledge')
*Class
*Students
*Taking Notes
*Padlock/Key...

A key is a common metaphor for solving problems or opening up new opportunities, notice in your dream, YOU hold the key.

How right you are. I do have high goals and constantly fear not being able to reach them.

The men sound like a different part of me I usually try to hide while outwardly showing a nice person(the one who was hiding). The fact that I gave the padlock to the evil man may represent that I'm using my knowledge negatively, though I really don't know what the knowledge is and how I might not be using it correctly.
