I usually have fragmented dreams, so here's a weird 3-part dream I had last night...I don't feel like they relate to each other at all. But if you see a common thread, then kudos to you :1) I'm in a classroom with other students and we're all voting for a new class 'president'. The current one is a mean guy who I do not like. I cast him out of the classroom and he looks upset...slinks off. But he's still in the classroom. I somehow become voted as class president and feel good about it because i am suggesting new ways of doing things. People seem happier in the class. The mean guy behaves well, no longer bullies people in the class. 2) I'm in a wedding dress that's perfect and my hair and makeup are done perfectly as well. I look really great, like almost flawless and I'm getting a magazine photo shoot for my look. I don't know if I'm alone or not. 3) My boyfriend and I are wandering through a really scary haunted house/basement with creepy hallways. We're holding onto to each other, turning corners and seeing like blood and severed limbs. It's scary ... we keep seeing it get worse and worse as we make our way to 'the center' , or the main room where we're going... we're anticipating it getting horrible. But right as we turn the corner... it's a pub/bar! One of us says outloud, 'Oh, they changed it in here.... thank GOD!'. The bar is kind of low-lit and meant to look like a haunted house, but it's actually just a pub. We sit down to get a drink lol. Can anyone figure any of this out??? IP: Logged |

In my experience, classroom/school dreams seem to symbolize how we 'move through life'.You have "graduated" to president, ridding your peers of the guy that nobody liked. This can be related to your career, or just status in general...it is related to number two, because... Weddings= New beginnings. The committing yourself, uniting yourself with new things/energies, you were being PHOTOGRAPHED, so therefore, RECOGNIZED in some way...and you looked great! A reflection of inner to outer, which relates to your third dream because.... You were in a scary basement with your boyfriend. This is like revisiting memories/emotions of relationships past. Severed limbs? In some of these relationships do you feel you gave up a part of yourself?? But, ha, fooled you, you don't have to wallow in the mire of that gunk anymore, because, it's a pub!! It's celebratory!! "It changed in there!!" WOW, that's powerful, you are transforming from within. Congrats, lots of good stuffs coming for you! IP: Logged |

Wow, you managed to tie it all in...how'd you do that All of what you said makes perfect sense, Gypsee. The pub dream was the most intense and most telling too because yes, I feel like I am experiencing a level of the 'hallway' stuff, almost expecting to give pieces of myself like I did in the past ...which I don't have to NOW. But in some ways it's like the trap door opens and that kind of shell-shock response kicks in, you know? Thanks again IP: Logged |

Oh yes, I am familiar with that!My Granny used to say, "Hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst." Not a very optomistic woman, but she had good reason. That sort of thing sticks with you, you know? I mean we are all a blob of our collective experiences in life. It's natural to "wait for the other shoe to drop." Especially when things are good and you are afraid they won't stay good, but, that is where faith comes into play. So, now you know that you don't have to sever your limbs anymore, how liberating!! My mom says the same thing: Hope for the best, prepare for the worse... funny! It's hard to balance sometimes, takes a lifetime for some of us, but others seem to do it so naturally! Thanks again, GYpsee... you've helped me so much! Anytime you'd like a read, please let me know as well and I'd be so happy to IP: Logged |
