A young woman I didn't know had been killed in her bedroom and someone I knew went in to look, and came out with her hand over her mouth in horror. I wouldn't go in to look because I was too scared and didn't want to see the body. We knew she'd been murdered though. There were 3 of us and all were horrified, and in shock. At that moment I realized that my grandmother (whom I adore, and who's been dead for years now) was also in the house with us but was gone, and I panicked. I called out for her and couldn't find her. She appeared later, having walked around the block. She looked sad, and ancient and not aware of where she was, and I remember thinking, I don't want to remember her this way. She's been alive this way too long, it's going to be hard to let her go. Then, suddenly my boyfriend and I were sitting with his father (whom he adored and I have never met, and who died many, many years ago). The 3 of us sat at a table and his father was making interesting drink concoctions for us. I was speaking with his father and asking him about his life, and he was such a remarkably interesting person... he made me smile. He said that I was my boyfriend's wife, just not in name. And that made me laugh, and ask, so if not in name or paper, then how can I be his wife? And he kind of winked.
Then the 3 of us went shoe-shopping (lol?)...and he and his dad were together while I went to another department to look at clothes from the 60's and 70's... I slid on a water slide to get there and got lost. When I went to call my boyfriend to tell him where I was, my phone was kind of wet and I couldn't find his number. I wasn't TOO worried because I knew we'd probably meet up later, but I was still annoyed that my phone was wet. I opened it and the battery was damp and had junk in the compartment, and I tried to dry it and clear it, but it was still damp  IP: Logged |

I've read this dream alot, MVM.You mention death of three different people.
In dreams death can represent birth.
The way you describe the clothing (70's style) and how you see your grandma, and your boyfriends Dad, feels like a pregnancy thing to me, I mean, you have a continuity of generations in the dream, almost like you are going to be the bearer of the next one. Sliding down a water slide. Kinda sounds like a birth canal. lol.
You could argue that it was YOU that slid, and not a baby, and I could say, "true, maybe YOU are going through a rebirthing stage in your life." Your BF's Dad is saying without saying, that you are the one for him, paper or no paper, you know?? The phone to me says maybe the two of you have some issues with communication, but your reactions to it in the dream suggest that they are minor and probably not so troublesome in your real lives. I know you aren't pregnant, and you don't want to be for awhile, but, I would be extra careful if you REALLY don't want to be, because this is what I feel the dream is alluding to... the continuity of family, the merging of the two families, through the two of you. It's taken me a while to get back to you on this, because I wanted to collect my thoughts. But also woweeeeee, yeah, I have been thinking of children and having one with boyfriend, so it's ultra-weird that this is how you interpret this. Also, the day you interpreted my dream I was about to post on here another dream I had the night before about a baby boy which I had given birth to. It was unclear in the dream because at first I had it with my ex husband and then it morphed into my boyfriend and I was really, really confused in the dream as to who the father was lol!
My instincts knew it was with my boyfriend so I was kind of confused in the dream as to why my ex was in the pic. But I still dream about that ******* from time to time if my boyfriend and I have an argument...I think I am still trying to recover from the damage of that marriage on a lot of levels I never even realized were damaged  Btw, creepiest of all was in my dream when I saw the baby boy I thought of YOU saying, I think you will have a boy. And then the next day I got up and saw your interpretation of this dream. How funny is that. Thank you, thank you, thank you  IP: Logged | |
