I was driving in the middle of the night and an animal ran out in front of my car and it was a cat, but i cant remember if i hit it or not but i do remember it being in the middle beneath my car and im pretty sure that it ran in front of my car on purpose.....

Lexx's answer feels right to me, but in dream symbology cats are considered a bad luck omen, HOWEVER, I wouldn't put too much stock in that, especially for people that own cats, or are around them.

Things in your daily life are bound to make appearances in your dreams. I don't know if you have a cat, and I hate that cats get such a bad dream rap, because I think they are beautiful creatures, but in most books, that is what they say.
