My boyfriend and i were crossing a bridge on foot into Portland (where we're looking to move, for real). The bridge was sort of strange and not exactly stable, and there was water at the bottom of it which i was trying not to fall into, so i was hopping over it - we both were. I became aware that there's a thin, silver chain attached from me to him, and then I looked to my right and saw several other people with the same types of chains attached to the people they were traveling with. I guess it was to keep them together/safe??

So we get across fine, and are staying at a cute boat house where there are many women serving a meal and I'm helping them. But there's a cockroach on the wall and i freak out about it, point it out, and get horrified when one of the women picks it up and holds it lovingly like a pet LOL
I storm into the bedroom and tell my boyfriend about the roach and he's all upset too but then there's a cockroach on his pocket! I point it out and he freaks out and pulls it off him and i tell him, i am sorry, i can't stay in this place even though it seems really cute...and he agrees, so we gather up our things and leave and go to a nice place, which looks like a hotel. It's more expensive but we end up getting a room there.

The room is strange in that it's set up next to another room where you can see into it through a window. It looks like there's some kind of table set up with plants to study, and i figure it's a teacher's room, but then see that it's also a bedroom with two beds: one for a child, and a bigger bed with a lot of stuffed animals crammed on top of it, like a shrine to childhood lol.
There's all these dolls on the floor, and one of them comes to life when i look at it, which scares me. I tell my boyfriend and he's interested in seeing what the doll does...it becomes a small girl and i'm not scared of her anymore, and she seems interested in me and trying to talk to me.

...So as we walk around we are next to water and there are two elderly women who talk to boyfriend and tell him that they knew his dead father. He seems moved by this but i don't trust them because it seems like they want something from him. They end up acting strangely and leave and we're both left wondering what just happened.

There's suddenly a strange crash next to us and I see a boat which plowed right into the harbor. I run onto the ship to check on everyone inside to make sure they're ok and they seem fine but are concerned about the main cabin inside the ship where maybe people are dead or hurt.
I go to the door and open it to the main cabin and yes, people look hurt but assure me that they are fine... so I tell them 'Welcome to Jamaica'... (wtf?)
