My boyfriend woke me up two or three days ago to tell me a dream which was really vivid and that he felt he really needed to tell me. I don't know anything about intepreting it tho I have tried and he's asked me what it might mean and I am stumped,sooo...

He had a series of dreams which he says were all about 'a change in perspective' and the one that stood out was that he was with a middle eastern guy in a truck and was telling the guy something he didn't like (as an aside, my boyfriend is not middle eastern but I am)but he has no idea what it was, just some conversation.

Then they got out and a bunch of little middle eastern kids were approaching and they all began to place their hands on bf and spinning him around, and he got weirded out and thought they were trying to steal his wallet lol. The other guy he was with told him, 'What are you afraid of? They're kids. You need to let go, this is a traditional type of dance." (it was supposed to be an Arabic old dance), so he let them spin him around and then they let go and he said that all of a sudden he was rolling through space and giggling and laughing and feeling so happy, it was like lights were flashing through his lids.

Then he woke up *within* the dream and we were together in a store that has international merchandise, and from the earlier dream he was given a green jewelery box (which was rectangular) which he gave to me. Then he remembered he was supposed to something else, and walked to a nearby table with a lot of old coins, picked one up and placed it inside the green box and gave it to me again....

I don't know why but the dream really stuck with me too, it felt very significant. To him too. But we're both really stumped, so any help would be awesome

PS - we had a big argument before we went to sleep the same night, but we had also made up lol. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I felt it might since he was dreaming about shifts in perspective ....

His whole spinning thing also reminds me of the sufi whirling dance where they do spinning meditation to get closer to god and reach ecstatic states.

I don't know how to interpret dreams, but I would like to say that I once dreamed of an old coin too. It was given to me when I was going on some long journey as one of three things, a coin, a piece of parchment (with instructions which I would understand when the time came) and a red rose. I was a man in that dream so it was a past life/parallel life dream/visit.

I think that this dream is also a past/parallel life thing.

I am going to check what old coins symbolize in dreams. I think they must have some meaning because with my dream and Aqua's they were used as gifts, not as monetary exchange.

Interesting.

Hello MVM,

I would like to give the dream a go.

I love these sorts of dreams because they show me how people retain an ancestral/genetic/mental 'imbibement' of creeds/orientation/values/abilities/gifts and that there are etheric, perhaps for want of another word, influences in dream states.

I shall itemise the dream,

middle eastern guy: political/cultural traditions rifts - based on territorial/religious/belief systems.

in a truck: reoccurring issue

telling guy something he didn't like: bf unsure whether his ideas/values may not encompass the bigger picture - he is open minded to the fact that he does not have all the facts/perspectives.

bunch of little middle eastern kids: a wave of outside etheric influence/awareness descending on his mental regions that are like small, beginnings of concepts, like inspirations to develop other ideas etc.

approaching and placing hands on him: thought/communication channels/vocal centre activated, senses activated to receive/assimilate an openess to incorporate and be able to communicate these perspectives (sort of like an influence has readied bf to be more capable/available to communicate an alternative belief system).

spinning him around: bf's mind going hyper fast to try and incorporate and defend against the new perspectives like he is wondering if he is being too receptive and is trying to compare/check with what his tried and true philosophies/values.

got weirded out: felt vulnerable to the exterior influence

thought they were trying to steal wallet: fear of being indoctrinated by an influence and worried he is going to lose his own values and political/traditional ways of looking at things.

other guy said 'what are you afraid of, their kids': bf mentally resistant to external influence but realizing he is big enough to be open to new/alternative ways of seeing things without having to lose his own identity/beliefs.

You need to let go, this is a traditional type of dance: have to kind of accept other's values to have truly rewarding intimacy.

So he let them spin him around and then he let go: moving off that dream scenario.

all of a sudden he was rolling through space giggling and laughing, feeling so happy, like lights flashing through his lids: bf experience his connectedness to true source, and realizing that it ultimately doesn't matter about human politics/systems of belief/traditions etc.

woke up in a store with international merchandise: bf thinking of buying you a ring, that will aspire to symbolise and incorporate your heritage/preferences/cultural values.

from earlier dream, given a rectangular green jewellery box: bf has love but more so a fertile love that has structure/commitment and is not flippant.

walked to nearby table with a lot of old coins: magic element, bf has magician qualities inherited from his own roots, something he has been reminded of to give him strength, and something he often forgets.

picked up one and placed it in the green box, gave it to you: a warning, he has the thought processes that are along the lines of, "don't 'f' with me, if I give you this commitment".

Yeah so an important feature for me is to sense the actual outside influences/mental dispositions/systems/, almost like personalities/deities/maybe ancestors that support and influence people, as well as sort of ingrained orientations/ancestral/genetic 'memories'.

The magic element, was really interesting too. Bf has a connection to magic orientations and has magician gift/abilities. Not pulling rabbits out of hats but more so kind of like a body/mind structural orientation that lends himself to be able to influence/create impressions sort of like he can co-create with a malleability in environments/realities. I have seen this before.

Wow thank you BOTH (both lovely Virgos )...I'm at work and want to say more, but both of you are spot on I think.

Both of you make amazing points about the magical qualities of the dream - past life or magician qualities...I kind of felt the same way ...I'm so happy you guys gave me some insight and thanks again, I will return later once I'm out of work
