So I'm dreaming its my birthday (I'm not sure which one) and my mother throws a huge suprise party in which family and friends are all invited. I see friends that I knew from highschool and friends I currently know now so its probably very recent. I get alot of presents which included 10 bikes (?). My bff isn't present but my party happens to be near her house so I go to find her to come celebrate. When we come back, all my friends are leaving for another party they heard about around the block. Most of the people who stay behind are family.

I was upset, of course, but then suddenly it switches to me being at some lunch Cafe at school with a older man who only speaks Spanish and is thought to have some sort of dimentia. The lunch ladies bring him whatever he wants/needs, but when I ask for a cheese pizza...they give me a mushroom pizza and tell me to deal with it and just pick off the mushrooms. I get really irate and actually end up flipping off the lady.

The odd thing is that this is a dream that happened while I was napping for about an hour. I don't know why I now dream so vividly during naps.

Hi BenedictMoon

What I get from this dream is that something has or is going to happen that will be a cause for a celebration.
I believe the 10 bikes are sybolic of you 'going places' in life. One bike would be sufficient enough for that, but you got ten, so I see things are about to really 'take off' for you!
I seems like perhaps you feel that your friends do not support you in your endevours as much as you would like, or as much as you feel your family does?
Or like your family is always there for you, but you must seek out support from your friends.

The second part would point out a feeling of frustration that you are being misunderstood. I don't know if you are still in school, if not, then perhaps you have some frustation with work or some sort of authority around you? Are you struggling with keeping your temper over an issue??

It's actually common to have the best, most vivid dreams during naps. Actually what is happening is that since your sleep is cut so short, you just remember them easier then when you've slept all night.

Wow, I think you were spot on with everything. I do feel like I get less support from my friends these days, I thought maybe its just me and part of living so far away from the majority of them but I don't know now. I've met some here in Wilmington that are really awesome though so I wonder why they were amongst the many that left in my dream? Oh well.

And yes, I'm having alot of problems with authority figures everywhere it seems. I have one instructor who doesn't make a secret of the fact that he doesn't think I'm good enough for the program I'm in, another (second head of the same program) who kind of misunderstands where I'm coming from at times, but I think work is a BIG issue. I'm still being used to do the dirty work on other floors for McDonald's wages. Its ridiculous, it sucks, I'm tired of it, and I can barely hold in my irritation anymore.

Things have been taking off for me since late August, and I hope I do have something to celebrate for it. Its been a while since I've had a birthday dream so you're analysis makes sense (the last time I had a series of these dreams was when I was being accepted into the college of my choice).

Thank you for your time!

Hi Bene,

I agree with Gypsee totally.

I would like to add my interpretation:

Are you thinking of holding a seance?

You're wondering perhaps if you should start a psychic/spiritual 'club'/get-together complete with food like a buffet? - chicken is definitely on the table as well as guacamole, haha.

You think it would be a good way to show your bff and others that you really have some connection/future/valid position to metaphysical/astrological/psychic people - networks.

But you have a niggling doubt...is this hypocritical? - you do a self-check of your motivations. Do you really have to prove your nature/natural aptitudes/foresight/forward thinking and tenable persona and connections - you think.

You hate the superficial way of people but you wonder if you yourself are not a tiny bit attracted to the show and excitement of living outside the square and putting on display your - (can't find the word in this - but it keeps coming up) - suffice to say natural inbuilt inclination/receptivity to the significance of cosmic interplay within self and between people etc.

(Spiritual/clairvoyant vision perhaps - along the lines of the elements in SunChild's posting on such.)

You did have a very valid experience that you treasure and you often reflect on it to make sure you maintain the correctness of the meaning and the sensations of awareness that you experienced.

Some people, you think, think you are a crack pot or will finally crack up eventually with all your 'scrapbook' of details that depict the threads, coincidences and significances through your life.

You don't think you get enough artistic credit for the validity in your awareness/insight/experiences (Same word/concept that I can't quite put into words).

You won't be pushed under a barrel (mushroom and pizza idea).
