Hi Bluegrey;

I just wanted to tell you that you don't need a special journal to start recording your dreams.
You can use scraps of paper if you want to, just be sure to date them. Later on, you could always paste them into a journal, or rewrite them if you get a nice one and choose to do that.

Most of the research I've been doing lately says that recording and remembering is KEY to figuring out what our dreams mean.

I always THINK I am going to remember, especially if it's a wowzer, and I'll even make some mental notes, like, "green car, green car, green car...etc" and really believe that I will remember, and then I am so mad when I don't!

So, I gave in with the writing of it.
Half the time I can barely decipher what I've read, because I scribble it in my sleep.
The thing that is really important once you start to do this, is that you try to write a few emotional words with your dream.

Because, sometimes we can dream of being ate by giant spiders yet we are not afraid in the dream. Maybe we feel powerful and truiphant, which would ascribe a totally different meaning to the dream altogether..

But if you only write, "giant spider," then when you are awake, your logic mind may want to assign a fear feeling to that because that would make sense.
I hope I am making sense!

Anyway, I use a spiral notebook from WalMart that I get in bulk during school supply season. It's sloppy and nobody can read it but me, but it helps, it really does.
