Topic: A psychopath in the dark: water and metal staircases

Unsettling dream tonight... It felt as real as a movie, I sometimes appeared to be an observer, a watcher... but some others I interacted with the characters as if I was one of them, the woman's best friend... a kind of guardian angel, overseeing but participating as a protective presence?? Sometimes I saw myself as part of scenes, as a blond woman, some others I was just watching them from outside.A couple with two beautiful girls, a 4 year old and a baby. She was a stunning brunette, intelligent and brave. He looked like Robin Williams but in fact he turned out to be a pederast and a psycopath killer. One night he tried to abuse his four year old girl. Sneaked into her bedroom and started to touch her... I was there, watching it and somehow I made it stop, as if I alerted his wife... He ran out...He started killing people in horrible ways, as if he suddenly had gone mad. He developed a superhuman strength in his forefinger and thumb, as if he was a human crab... he cut their throats open with them... We went to the police station to report him to the police but we couldn't prove it: The girl didn't manage to testify anything that could be used against him. When we arrived home, we found a pile of letters in long yellow envelopes with his confession. She ran out trying to get them to the police while I remained behind with the two girls. He was outside, standing on the staircase landing (the landing was dark, the staircase had old metal handrails and curved down as a spiral staircase), dressing as a woman with an uniform (a policewoman, a postofficer??). He fooled her and snatched the letters out of her hands before I could warn her, and ran down the staircase... She ran after him, furious, she wouldn't let him ran away... I ran after, wanting to help her... I don't remember what happened with the baby but the girl was with me... He fell down the stairs (did she pushed him? did I?). She jumps towards him, another man appears to help hus... Blood... She's trying to kill him cutting his throat open and shouts me to hug the girl against my chest so she can't see... He brutally pierces the stone of the stair with his fingers... The police arrives and arrest him alive. Then we appear in what looks like a heated swimming pool complex. It is very quiet and dark, the only lighting comes from inside the swimming pools, which creates a gosthly atmosphere, projecting blue waves on the darkness, water sounds, drops here and there. He is chained into a swimming pool, with water at his nose level, bleeding... There is a shark inside the pool but appears reluctant to attack him. She is in the female changing room, with the jury... All those women will decide if he is found guilty and condemned. She is acting as the attorney and everybody listents to her... I enter there to warn her. Somehow I know (or foresee) he is about to escape! She runs out to check if he's still in the swimming pool but he's not there anymore! Anguish... He'll come after the girls (neither she or I were near them to protect them). Again staircase with metal handrails going down... She slowly goes down... I sense he's somewhere down there, waiting for her, hunting her down... I can see her from above (as an observer now, outside the scene)... The lights go off completely into an absolute darkness... Fear... The faint lighting comes back. He's playing with her... I run downstairs to warn her... And then I woke up... It's weird!! I can see a thread, the same symbology running in the background... Water (blue lighting, swimming pools, a crab, a shark...), a metal staircase running down (both leading out of the house and the swimming pool level) and darkness (the overall dream was dark... the girls room, night time, the staircases, the swimming pools... except for the police station and the changing room, everything that silent and dark). Oh man. I shivered a bunch when reading this.
Maybe there's a situation you feel obligated to rectify (always helping the woman and children)? Interesting that there is a woman and two girls and a female jury against the killer. All these females.

Yes, guys, it's pretty scary... it felt meaningful... my higher self trying to tell me something...I was clearly a guardian... I have been years having those dreams full of females... but the subject is evolving... Over the last months I have learnt that I am a kind of white light... (one of my guides says that I'm a "walking heart"  ). In fact, in a recent meditative trance I got a message that told me that I am a talisman... a lucky charm... That is a protector, isn't it?? Something that protects against evil... I wonder about the symbology... These dreams I sometimes have kind of foresee something, I'm sure that my brain transaltes into symbols a more complex message that comes from a higher consciousness... I could be a very raw and untrained version of a medium...  It's important that I get a flavour of the message... water... darkness... metal staircases running down... WHAT IS ALL THIS ABOUT?? Does anybody know?

Wow Steelrose I bet you were glad to wake up!
Well I think I remember learning that any kind of building represents the self and the different floors are the different layers of consciousness. The fact that everything was in darkness in this dream with only flickering patches of light seems to suggest that there are areas of the self that are hidden at the moment and need light shedding on them? Areas that at the moment seem somewhat frightening, volatile and brutal in some way. These areas of the self are able to be examined and tried when we go to the brightly lit police station and changing room/court room but we first have to deal with that swimming pool of emotion with it's hidden psycho and shark. Water is symbolic of emotion and anything swimming in it (or lurking in it in this case) would suggest to me that there's something in the emotional centre of self that worries and frightens you; something that you're not sure how to secure (he was restrained but you knew he'd escape) or control (even the shark was wary of attacking him!) The spiral staircase interests me - it's a very symbolic image. When you spiral down into the depths of emotion and subconscious you have to be brave enough to do so sometimes in complete darkness not knowing what you'll encounter there. I think the woman and her daughters are symbolic of the gentleness and vulnerability within and far from being weak and cowering in a corner in the face of this 'darkness' this feminine essence was brave and strong and descended to face whatever lay below head on. It's also very interesting that the jury were all women and he dressed as a woman to disguise himself amidst the female - it's a sort of age old battle of the sexes in a way. Either way the male is the villain of this particular peace and seems to be something (or someone) you're wrestling with to surpress him in any way you can.Don't know whether any of this helped and it's just the way the images came across to me so sorry if it doesn't resonate with you. Hi, Seeker (Your name sounds familiar, I bet you have interpreted other of these weird dreams of mine...)Thanks for your interpretation. Seriously, that's exactly what I needed... I think I understand... It's trying to reflect my descent to the underworld... It's been about a year now that I decided to fight my demons, to face them... to go into the darkness of my subconscious and my psyche... Yes, frightening, volatile and brutal... my distorted image of men wasn't far from that... That's why my dreams are full of women... If you look a t my previous dreams published here, they are full of haunted women, frightened, trying to hide and scape... This dream is different... Here, WE are chasing the evil down... We will catch him and put him aside, control him, kill him or whatever is required to make our world safe, to protect our innocent creatures... The child inside me... The 4 year looked like me as a child... She was called Alice (no idea of the meaning of that). Emotion... Yes, my life now is a tempest... I'm trying to control and understand what boils below the surface... I'm in the dark... and fighting... like the woman in the dream... I'm the guardian angel, the layer of conciousness that is leading the process... I'm fighting to reconciliate with men... to be able to disolve the psychopath from my subconscious... to have my female side, my sweet girls safe...
The good news here is that I'm not the frightened girl hiding from aliens, witches, thieves assaulting my home, german nazi soldiers, demonic girls... I'm the wise and powerful guardian angel, the attorney, the brave mother... not escaping but chasing... IP: Logged |

A big to seeker. I came here to offer my two cents to find out it wasn't needed Steelrose, it seems that your subconscious is telling you that you are in control by placing you in those "leading" roles. I would take this as a huge step forward, so congratulations to you  IP: Logged |
