Topic: to see future event in dream

so i had this dream, that this person is with me and he is giving me a good news.he is offering me something for which i have to travel . the key word which i remember from the dream was "travel".
when i woke up, i had a very satisfying feeling, a feeling like the dream gave me internal peace,even in the shower i was thinking about the dream how peaceful it made me feel.
the very same evening, i got this call from the very same person [who lives in abroad] and he offered me this venture which is a great opportunity, its mainly an international project and they want me to work for them.
I did say yes,because of the feel from dream, now m just wondering that how can i see something, even seeing the same person, before i even knew he is up to something like this? [m not very frequently in touch with this person]IP: Logged |

My own thought is that we are taught that TIME is linear,in that it only goes forwards.but really it is going forwards,backwards,sideways..dreamways.. you dreamed the dream and that made time flow backwards so that the person would contact you.. kind of obscure thought I'm having lately

Not to shatter hopes of controling the future threw dreams....but as someone who has dreams of things that frequently occurI don't think it's a matter of control, but rather overlap like you dream what is going to happen, but since you can't really control the dream 100 percent....and the parts that usually happen that you can't control are the parts that come true...the other parts are your subjective intentions that usually don't.....but what you should or ought to do...... It hink it's an overlap....maybe not...maybe someone can give an example of where they willed a dramatic event to occur, and it did? IP: Logged |

In awake life, with an awareness of that moment you realise that you have 'dreamt'
it before. In dreams I think its hard to find control, though some say to try/look and find your hands while dreaming (or other techniques) will let you become aware you are dreaming. IP: Logged |

the former one happened to me many times, sudden jolt, that i have seen this in dreambut knowing that m dreaming, this doesn't happen often, did happen a few times though..m trying to practice, not very difficult for me because i usually have 3-4 dreams every night  IP: Logged |

Yeah its so weird, life is but a dream Knowing that I'm dreaming..its so rare for me too,maybe once in every 10,000 dreams..! its as if our dreams don't want us to become too aware of them? IP: Logged |

I've had some terrifying, earth shattering dreams that have come to pass as much as a year after my dream. I don't know where these come from, but I believe that my Higher Self has to prepare me for certain things and that's maybe why.IP: Logged |

When we are sleeping we connect to our higher consciousness. Some, due to certain planetory placements in their chart, have the capability to see and feel them either in dream or wakeful state like psychics. So we may connect to anything at all. Could be our lives or those of others too if we get connected to the universal consciousness.IP: Logged |

I agree with roadwarrior's explanation, as well as Ellygirl. I do not think that we can contol "reality" through dreams, at least not usually, but that there is a kind of "overlap" wherein we are able to catch glimpses of what may be coming. And I do believe that one of the reasons for this is so that we are more prepared, at least subconsciously, for whatever event we glimpse. Although, there are plenty of times in which the future event is something non-extraordinary, some small thing of no consequence, which to me indicates the "overlap". Our minds/spirits are timeless. As for Yrone's question ... at times the dreams can be exact, at others most definately coded. It depends on the individual, and perhaps our subconscious mind's willingness to see precisely what is coming. A funny thing about trying to see your hands while dreaming ... I used to do this as a method of becoming aware while dreaming, which would then (theoretically) help lead to a conscious out-of-body experience. I guess my conscious mind would just not take the clue as I noticed my hands in my dreams ... and proceeded to crush them with hammers, break them, and even eat them with knife and fork! My subconscious was cooperating with my pre-sleep wish to notice my hands, and did everything possible to try and get me to notice. I would awaken in the morning and immediately recognize my subconscious efforts and my failure to notice.  Weird.  IP: Logged |

dreams are just so mysterious things. i have had problems with them since i was 7yrs old. but now i have come to terms with them. now i try to remember the details right after i have woke up. and i'm getting some real good info from them. not only about me,about my family too.IP: Logged |
