I look out the window since I see a shadow, and see a orangish-reddish dragon fly overhead. I back away from the window. Now, normally in the waking world I have an affinity for most things dragon-related, but I was cautious with this one. Like I wasn't expecting this one to come around or something.

I look out the window again, and see the dragon looking down... and inhaling. I bolt for the hallway, but stop before making it to the bathroom door. As it was a nice, warm spring or summer day outside, I "remember" the window being open. Then, I hear the "whoooosh" of the dragon breathing fire. I can see the glow of the fire from it exhaling as I can see partially through the kitchen and bathroom in my hallway... but no fire. I can hear alarms, but not fire alarms but more like a military base's alarms (My house isn't in earshot of any alarms except for the fire department down the road however). I think I may have thought about raising a "shield bubble" at this point, which would have been significant later in the dream.

Suddenly it shifts, I'm elsewhere, still blue sky and there's a few people around. Like I activated a portal or something was the sense I got. They ask if I'm alright, and I say I'm fine. I run back, hoping my house is still somehow fine, and with the portal gone and me recognizing some of the landscape, I run back up. I try to dial 911 in the dream on my iPhone, but keep misdialing (yeah, not thinking about the "emergency call" button on the lock screen... or maybe I did hit it and I still had to press 911, but kept hitting 9111 or 9911, or any sequence but that).
