Not surprisingly, this quartet of dreams all have to do with your relationship. I've seen these types of dreams before … my wife has them when I become less communicative and, from her perspective, more emotionally distant. It happens every so often, almost cyclically (astrologically, it probably is cyclic). And, like yourself, with a particularly rotten past relationship under her belt, unpleasant subconscious associations will rear their ugly heads. Fortunately, she reels me back in, we talk, things get better, and we are still here.First dream : Despite doing all the right things, do you fear that something terrible could happen? You may not even acknowledge this on a conscious level, but deep within the subconscious the fear of "losing my husband" is there. There may even be an aspect of guilt, as if you are the cause or "driving force" behind it (you are driving). Second dream : There is the feeling that things may need to be mended or pulled together (needle and thread) stemming from the lack of attention of the quality and quantity you have become accustomed to (affair = husband's attention elsewhere, not necessarily another woman). Again, there may be an aspect of guilt because you have not provided him with a child (other woman claims to be pregnant). Third dream : You are beating yourself up emotionally. You are feeling inadequate, unsuitable (late), and even "disgusted" with yourself (hairy legs). You are feeling the pressure of time, like it is running out, and there are feelings of guilt. You want to cleanse yourself of all of this (take shower) but the "tangled and confusing" actions/reactions/emotions of your husband is making progress very difficult. Fourth dream : This is a classic compensatory dream. It is an attempt by your psyche to gain some measure of balance by experiencing in the dream world what you are lacking in waking life. You need to feel important to him, to feel like the star in his life (adored, famous musician), you need to feel his loyalty and unconditional love (small white dog in arms). You need his attention and attentiveness (assistant). In my experience, communication is key. Talk to him. If he is anything like me, and most other men, he will probably need a kick in the pants. Tell him how you are feeling, why, and ask him if he is okay. Give him a chance to rectify his attentions, to assure you that he loves you and that you are indeed the star in his life. You need to hear it and feel it. IP: Logged |

No problem. You're not the first to make that mistake. I take no offense, and rather take it as a compliment. IP: Logged |

Actually, yes, I have so it's funny you bring that up.
I was watching a documentary with my husband a month or two ago about a guy who was completely typical but literally woke up one day and could see ghosts. It was like a switch turned on for him and he was trying to figure out why. I turned to my husband and said "I turned my switch off..." I've sort of been thinking about it since then. I did switch it off on purpose but part of me misses it. I'm not even entirely sure seeing things other people don't see counts as part of a higher-self or spirituality. I feel like they are connected, though, because if I really concentrate on being more spiritual then it's almost inevitable the other stuff starts again too. I'm not entirely sure I want to open that floodgate if that makes sense. I don't know how to control it besides "ON" and "OFF". IP: Logged |

I have dreams like this OFTEN. Usually, when I have them, they will take up the whole night and I'll have several of them. Often, I find out he's cheating on me, I confront him and he doesn't care or he's glad I found out so he can finally leave me. I don't kick him in the mornings about it anymore

Last night's most prominent dream was the zombie apocalypse.I was in NYC with a group of people. They were people I worked with in the dream but no one I actually work with in waking life. One of them was Johnny Knoxville from "Jackass" who had a crush on me and I was like ... "ewww... you're dumb" Anyway, in the dream, there had already been zombies but they had been defeated for a long time. Now there was a new outbreak. It was at night and I was walking with my co-workers and we could hear the screams a couple blocks away. I took the lead, told them to follow me because I was PREPARED! I had a really big gold RV-type bus that was stocked with water, food and could sleep 6 or 7 people. I had it parked in a building underground. I drove it out and they all hopped on and we took to the road. Not very spectacular. I have been curious about dreams I've been having that are very similar and have been recurring for years. I had one last week sometime. It's hard for me to remember a lot of this one now but I'll get into more detail next time I have one. The basics are, I always think I'm awake and it's really happening, I'm looking at the sky and the stars start to change colors. I'm always awestruck at how many stars there are and how beautiful they are. Then the stars start moving and I realize they are space ships and they are coming to earth in amazing numbers. I don't know what their intentions are usually but this is always followed by me trying to hide, trying to avoid them finding me, having a bunker to go to, etc.
In the dream last week I was in a bed in the middle of a field looking at the stars when they started changing colors and zipping through the sky towards the Earth. I said "Oh no, not AGAIN!" IP: Logged |

Zombie apocalypse dream: This dream conveys the idea that a bad situation from your past has reappeared, or feelings/emotions associated with that past have reemerged. The dream reflects that you are better equipped to handle this now, or is compensating for fears that you are not prepared to deal with it.Which is it? The moving stars/UFOs dreams: As much as you may sometimes wish to "turn it off", and perhaps, for a time, feel as if you have, your connection with the Unseen, with Cosmic Forces, is still there. We can run, but we can't hide. We can bury our heads in the sand, trying to avoid the Light (sometimes it seems easier to do so), but the Sun will still rise. Make sense? Walk in Peace

I hate it when that happens because for me it's usually a crappy dream that keeps going all night even if I wake up and go back to sleep. It's not usually the really nice dreams. IP: Logged |

Better prepared!!! We are moving to another state and it looked like we were going to have to go through another custody battle to do it which worried me a lot... the first time was traumatic enough for everyone involved. Looks like things will be more peaceful this time around. Thank goodness.

Yes... I'm sort of enjoying the 'normal' life, though. It's so quiet. Every now and then my bed vibrates... and not because I put quarters in it. Or maybe it's me that vibrates at night and I think it's the bed. So... I know there are all sorts of things going on but I haven't wanted to experience or deal with it for a long time. IP: Logged |

Very active night of dreaming last night. One dream involving stray dogs and trying to take them in to care for them. The longest dream and the one that stuck with me most: I had this amazing car. It was ridiculously expensive and valuable. Usually, that's not something I care about at all but there was something special about this car and it was extremely unique. It was grey and silver. I remember picking it up from a large parking garage and driving through a city with it. It was ridiculously fast but I never felt unsafe in it. I drove home... which was a white house in a rural area. There was a party going on there but before I went in, my friend Barbara came outside to greet me and she was really surprised to see me in this car. She wanted to know why I never told her I had this car and I told her it was really expensive and I didn't want anyone to know. People would want it, try to steal it, etc. I told her I was trying to keep a low profile and that's why I lived in such a modest house - I didn't want people to suspect. She was really excited when I offered to take her for a ride. It turns out, the car could also fly, which was amazing. We were in the air, flying over mountains and we had black helmets on for some of it. The vehicle was amazingly fast! I went back home where the party was still going on and it was now dark outside with lots of stars out. As I mingled with the crowd and friends, a guy friend I haven't seen in many years started chatting with me. He was recovering from something traumatic - some sort of addiction or something - so I was glad to see him and have the chance to talk with him about it. I decided to share my car secret. I had everyone gather around and found my son because I wanted him to see most of all. I had a bunch of toy cars laid out in the lawn and told my son to go take a look at them. As he looked, my special car was there in miniature form. I had a remote in my pocket, though, and I pushed a button - the car grew into its usual size. The crowd clapped and my son was amazed because it seemed like a transformer. My guy friend was amused but probably less impressed. I told him it could fly. He didn't believe me so I asked him if he wanted to go for a ride and he was happy about that to see what it could do. I looked up at the sky and noticed what I thought were 4 jets moving across the sky with trails behind them. My friend looked up to see what I was interested in. We both realized at least 3 of the 4 flying objects weren't jets but were missiles of some kind. I saw one of them coming down in the distance with a parachute and I panicked. I told him and my son to get in the car! My car was only designed with two seats so my son had to sit on his lap which made for cramped quarters but I knew something bad was happening with the missiles. We took off into the sky. The dream gets a little blurred there. I'm not sure how long we were flying. We returned to my house but it was only my son and I. I don't know where my friend went but I wasn't very concerned. I was just concerned about my son. The houses around us were empty. We went inside our house. Our furniture was gone. The windows were all open, the white curtains on them were blowing in the breeze and had some rust stains on them I didn't understand. I started closing the windows because I felt there was some poison in the air. A few blocks down there was a bus going house to house. There were two men getting in and out and I had an ominous feeling about them. One turned in my direction and he had bright yellow eyes. I knew we had to get back to my car and get out of there.

In short, the dream is about keeping certain aspects of yourself secret or hidden from others (amazing car). These aspects are part of your true, spiritual self. They are special and important to your inner freedom (flying car). In the dream, as soon as you reveal your secret, bad stuff starts happening. Anxiety and fear suddenly manifest (missiles/poison/ominous men). What are you afraid of? Why are you afraid to show who you are? IP: Logged |

Last night was very busy. At one point I was in New York City but it was some time in the future. There were futuristic buildings in among all the regular NY buildings. The Empire State Building was floating in the air. All the cops were actually robots but they looked like people. I ended up getting pulled over for one reason or another by one – a guy that was actually in the Battlestar Gallactica series from 10 years ago and was a Cylon. I was held in jail for a little while because they suspected me of working for some rebellion. I was set free because they couldn’t find evidence but they still suspected me and told me I was being watched.Next thing I know, I’m in an underground cave. The walls and the floor is covered in moss that’s soft on my feet. I’m walking around and enjoying it, some light is filtering down from the top of the cave from openings up there. I step into an inch or two of mud on the floor but it’s nice – I can actually feel it squish between my toes and I wiggle them in it. Some of the moss sprouted white flowers – hundreds of them. In the dream I remember thinking they smelled hyacinth and jasmine flowers but they looked more like jasmine mixed with peonies. There was a separate room in the cave that was man made and very high-tech. I went in and the President was there with some of his staff members. He was expecting me and glad to see me. We had our annual horse races coming up. Each of us had a horse and we had to show pictures to each other, introduce the horse, etc. My horse’s name was Cashew and was a palomino color but I had another one that was sort of a mocha color with little speckles of caramel. I don’t really understand a lot of this part of the dream. From what I gathered, though, I was working for some sort of rebellion but the President knew about it and endorsed it. He was working behind the scenes against the authoritarian world order that was going on with the robots and cylons above ground.

Yes, I know you see dead people, but you are not afraid of that. Or is there some aspect of it that you are afraid of? Or are you afraid of what others may think of you? IP: Logged |

You're right, the dead people don't usually bother me. It's the other things that I start seeing and feeling that bother me. The black blobs on the ceiling, the black silhouettes in the doorway, the chills, the shaking bed, the moving blankets, etc. IP: Logged |

And, yes, I suppose I don't want to be thought of as the insane ghost lady that deserves a bunch of eye-rolls. I know I'm quirky an I don't generally care what's thought of me but I'm smart and pretty level-headed and that's something I like about myself... so it would bother me if people overlooked that and just saw some kooky fringe-woman that doesn't have a bit of sense in her head. Stressful last night in dreamland!!I had a dream I woke up in a hotel in the morning and I realized I didn't know where my son was. I looked everywhere and I couldn't find him! I was freaking out - it was terrifying. He was just gone. I was trying to get the app on my phone to work that is a GPS on his phone to see where he was but it wouldn't work. So it was a long long long dream of that. Searching and frantic and miserable. Finally, my son showed up like nothing was wrong. It turns out he was shipping off to Never Neverland for hours at a time and 12 hours or so in my time was years in Neverland so he never aged. I asked him if he would at least go to Neverland at night while I'm sleeping so that when he comes back he can still spend time with me in this world.

Last night was my insecurity dream night again. All night - my husband was in love with someone else. In one it was a co-worker and the rest of them he was in love with our friend. GAH the worst because then I wake up annoyed with him but I have had these dreams about anyone I've ever been in a relationship with. IP: Logged |

The 4/23 future NYC dream ...There is uncertainty and perhaps fear concerning changes in your future (futuristic NYC). Associated with this uncertainty are oppressive feelings, lack or loss of personal power/authority over the direction of your life (robot police) and the loss of personal freedom (jailed). Perhaps you feel as if your life is on automatic pilot, like you are just going through the motions with no real control (robots/cylon). It is suggested you have hidden these feelings from yourself (no evidence/unfamiliar with rebellion). Subconsciously (underground cave) you are split. On one level, you are receptive and grounded (moss/flowers/mud), but in another part of your subconscious (separate room) is where the uncertainty and confusion exist. This is the part where you are in "rebellion", concerned about your power being undermined or diminished (President underground/working behind the scenes). But all of these negative feelings are just part of the story, as you probably have feelings of excitement and anticipation as well. This dream is simply dealing with the subconscious fears/concerns, and not all-encompassing. Make any sense? IP: Logged |

Your son missing dream from 5/01 ...Part of this may be due to anxiety about moving, the transitory state you are in (hotel), and stuff concerning your son/his father, maybe. But my first impression is a little different. Years ago, when your son was just a tot, I remember interpreting a few dreams for you which to me suggested that your son has a very special nature, both genetically and spiritually. I think you may have been concerned about his development in some way at that time. (Are you still concerned? ) Anyway, I think this dream kind of hints at an aspect of his special nature (whether he is aware of it or not). To me, the dream is a reflection of an astral experience in which you were astrally looking for him (on an unconscious level) but could not find him, which is usually not a problem. He was astrally traveling beyond your perceived reach, in a place unknown to you. And I love the time reference, as that sort of time distortion is typical in the Astral Realms. See what I mean? I may be wrong, but that is basically what it looks like to me. Combining the astral perspective with "real world" issues could make sense of the dream. Thoughts? IP: Logged |
