Here i go folks!

I had a dream that i was to go write an exam for my further studies/promotion. I am not very sure which one. Now here is the funny part. I write a paper and when i am about to board the bus the papers go by in the bus and am watching and wondering what to do. I could have easily jumped in the bus but just kept wondering and the papers go by and am left on the road. Then i get very nervous and meet a friend on the way to whom i tell that i am not even prepared for my other papers and the one i was were lost. All this before the exam OK? Apparently i wrote them BEFORE the exam. Then i get very apprehensive and go home where my granny (who is dead), my cousin in his teens (now he is a grown up man with kid and i am not at all in touch with him) and my parents were there. I have lost my mom already and my pop doesn't stay with me right now. I tell them that i am not writing the exam as i can't and go inside and feel very frustrated and afraid.

Any ideas guys?

I don't know about the dream, but I'm just glad you can make it back into LL.

Hello Love&Light

There is certainly a theme to this dream. Just looking through and picking out some words and phrases tells us much ... wondering what to do, left on the road, nervous, not prepared, lost, apprehensive, frustrated and afraid. So what is it in your life which is causing these feelings?

Losing the exam classically symbolizes fear or anxiety about failing in some situation, your self-confidence taking a hit.

Missing the bus suggests that you have failed to do or recognize something, but the fact that you "could have easily jumped in the bus" suggests that you have made a choice to not do something, and this choice or the situation is causing you anxiety. Perhaps someone has asked you to do something you don't want to do, or there is a situation you could be, or will be, part of that you are not comfortable with, or maybe you have undetaken, or are about to undertake, some activity which you do not feel prepared to do.

Going home to people from your past suggests that the cause of your underlying anxiety and fear of failure is rooted in your childhood somehow, perhaps relating to family issues.

What do you think? Do you recognize the situation that caused you to have this dream?

Walk in Peace

Thank you Ra, for taking trouble to throw some light on this one. Yes actually IT IS something like that. Right now i am stuck in 4 major areas of my life. Stuck at the crossroads. Promotion, Academics, Marriage and Spiritual. And i guess the bus i might be missing in connection with studies. I am just not able to make up my mind. What i want and what destiny wants are just the opposite and hence the tug of war. I had mentioned about a dream in another thread here www.linda-goodman.com. Its a little way down in the thread in which i see silver coins. Someone told me that getting silver coins means someone is trying to thrust something on you for which you are not prepared. Yes that could be the case as i am likely to get transfer/promotion and i am just not interested. Thanks again. I think both these dreams reflect my mind's friction. Man proposes and GOD disposes and if i may add GOD proposes and me disposes.

I'll add: the age of your cousin tells of when this fear began within you or when the experience happened that led to the fear, or it's the time frame of when the general day-to-day life events took place that lead to the fear within. It could either be when your cousin was that age or when you were a teenager.

The papers are quite important and that your papers made it on the bus when you chose not to go is interesting. I don't know what your papers represent but they were designed and completed BEFORE you were to take your exam. I wonder if your papers are your way of thinking? Or if you developed some preconceived notion or opinion about something before you were prepared for it and that left you to have to start over, since you were unprepared for what you had completed and was now going to have to start over, it depressed you.

As an FYI, vehicles in dreams are highly symbolic to how much in control you are of your own life, whether you are the driver of your life or not. That you were about to board a bus, tells me that at the time in your life the dream describes you were NOT at all the driver in your life. At that time, the external influences in your life were grand for there were others that were also being carried by this bus. A bus is a rather large vehicle that carries many passengers, so this tells me that whoever this bus represents, influenced you along with those who were riding the bus. Since it was referencing school and exams, I suspect this dream refers to this period of your life and a teacher (who the bus represents). The teacher does not have to be an actual teacher at school and could represent a parent, a spiritual leader, anyone who was an influence in your life at that time who also influenced others at the same time. The importance in the dream, I believe, is that you chose to not board the bus and rather go it alone. That takes a lot more strength than to ride along with the others. Many times it is a lonely road but in the end, you have made the right choice. Be proud of yourself.

Hope this helps you, Love&Light.

I read your dream: "In that i was standing in a ground floor balcony/veranda. A person touches my forehead at the third eye centre and some energy flows through me and i wonder what the h** is she/he (i dont remember the gender now) upto. Then i find myself inside the house and there is this old couple there. My friend sits on a chair on the side. She is highly qualified in her profession in real life(an intellectual) and i am on HER LEFT where this couple gifts me with few silver coins and a silver coin with ganesha pic on it and another silver coin with some devi picture. My friend is facing the other way all the time. And just as i am wondering what the whole drama is about i wake up. So thats the silver connection."

You were touched spiritually and have sought spiritual principals and practices. I suspect this conflicts with all that you have known and have been taught, especially as it relates to finances and earning an income. Silver coins from my understanding are associated with "family troubles" and possibly "being jilted by a lover". Your friend is facing the other way, she's looking in a completely different direction and doesn't see what you see. Did she have her back to you?

Trust what you know Love&Light. You're the intuitive one and someone with less intuitive insights cannot help you make decisions about that area of your life. You must trust in what you know and what you know is right for you. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, only what you think and know to be true to you. Nobody knows you better than you know yourself ([provided you are coming from a wise frame of mind, which you appear to be). These are decisions which you must trust your gut and trust your spiritual beliefs.

I hope it all works out for you and your mind is free from worry and stress.
