The spider symbol/image comes to me in dreams frequently, as of this past year. Usually the spider has unusual colors, such as white or blue dots and is about the size of a palm. Sometimes there are a couple, one being much smaller. Im usually in awe of the spider while someone else tries or does shoo it out.Couple nights ago, dreamt of a small spider creeping across the floor to hid in a dresser. My mom asked dad to kill it, but he missed it. Then the larger mother spider crept out, not menacing just walking about. This time dad did catch it but instead of killing it, he placed it in a glass tank/cup to keep as a pet. Suddenly the images changed to just my mother & I smongst her coworkers. They were working in a factory and I was visiting for some reason. I recall I had quit my job (very unlikely in waking life as I love my job) to try my luck in a new career field. The factory felt unstable w a lot of snow or rainy weather and inadequate ceiling. like a lot of water on the floor & a feeling like this is not where I belong. Suddenly, a magnificant white tiger w no stripes leaps inside from the gapping ceiling. Everyone is afraid but I am not. Im in awe of the beauty of the tiger and amazed at how she got in and how the worjers didnt forsee sonething would come in w the ceiling being wide open. I awoke feeling the spider symbol is a message as it keeps coming up. Amazed by how the tiger just jumped over me and on its way, and I felt no fear while all else did. I wonder if the tiger was a totem as she seemed powerful but not attacking. I have been making new progress and growth on my spiritual path this year. Ive always felt more spirirually inclined towards pagan ways vs organized religion, but had stopped going on this road as my childhood religious upbringing would block me. Not sure if this is relevant just thought to add it. Im really intrigued by the white tiger symbol. For some reason I dont feel the spider is an enemy as commonly portrayed in dream dictionaries. Spiders are a good omen and indicate approaching wealth. Very happy to hear your dad did not kill that opportunity and is keeping it around. They also can indicate a marriage proposal, depending.Snow is affliction,<--(I just heard "When the walls come tumbling down. Mellencamp song). A leaky roof and water on the floor is a sign of bankruptcy, situations slowly deteriorating into bankruptcy, not something that happens suddenly. It is a result of neglect over an extended period, consistently. Watching a Tiger is "family fortune". Curiously, your tiger did not have stripes. Stripes make the tiger but yours had none. I wonder what that means? A White Tiger is a Bengal Tiger born of first degree incest (brother-sister, father-daughter, mother-son). Interestingly, one of the key symbols in my project is a "White Tiger". I know what it means as it pertains to my project, and I understand what a Tiger means in a dream when you are "watching" it as you were but one without stripes intrigues me and I'm going to ponder this a bit. I'll let you know if I come up with anything. ------------------ Truth & Integrity in all things. oh, and multiple spiders means many worries. The size of the worry would be equivalent to the size of the spiders. Small spiders, small worries.------------------ Truth & Integrity in all things. Thank you, whereabouts do you think the tiger is a totem? Im intrigued also, but am fairly sure the tiger didnt have stripes or the stripes were very faint. The bankrupcy/neglect makes sense. My parents live very confortably, but have wasted much fortune gambling. Maybe my worries over this vice of theirs came through in the dream, like the factory (symbol for dad's business) has much potential but its all going towards feeding the vice. My feeling was I didnt want to be there, and yes I am not fond of gambling at all. Maybe the spiders were my worries over my parents. The unusual spider does come up a lot in my dreams, this was the first time w my parents. Usually I just observe the spider and am impressed by its unique colors. It never bites me or is scary. Same goes for the tiger, everyone else was in panic, I just found it beautiful. This was the first time I dreamt of it, thats why I wonder if its a totem. IP: Logged |

PF, it might be a totem for you, not sure but it's not something for you to worry about, that is certain. If the snow and the falling apart ceiling in the factory is your father's business then it is a clear indication of financial ruin for the business, and, yes, the spiders could certainly be your worry about their vises. I don't like gambling much either. I'd rather spend my money on something tangible, like shoes or clothes or even dinner but not gambling. Maybe you can speak to your parents about your insights? Or maybe the dream is simply letting you know what is going to happen so you're prepared. ------------------ Truth & Integrity in all things. Thanks again. Yes, Im def going to discuss my concerns w them. My siblings & I held an intervention w them a few months ago, but it seems the issue persists. I agree, gambling just isnt tangible enough for my tastes. I went to Las Vegas a few months ago, and gambled about $40 tops. My main reason for the trip was to sightsee and attend a musical production Im glad the white tiger isnt a negative symbol. Hopefully Ill receive clues if it is indeed a totem. It seems like such a beautiful and strong creature. IP: Logged |

What is interesting is that all of the symbolism in this dream was all about money. Your dad caught one, the mother, and put it away to keep as a pet. The business/factory is deteriorating but then the Tiger, the "family fortune" jumps into the space through the deteriorating roof. Everyone is freaked out about it and scared except you, you are in awe and are fascinated with it. I wonder if this is symbolic to your understanding the events of your dream taking form in real life and when it happens everyone else is freaking out about it and you are simply in awe because it happened precisely as your dream indicated it would.------------------ Truth & Integrity in all things. Hello PhoenixFire Very interesting stuff. While this particular dream does seem to involve the situation your parents are in and your relation to it, I am not so inclined to interpret the spiders and the white tiger as omens of fortune, etc. I see these symbols more as relating to your spiritual/psychological progress. Concerning the spider symbol/image in general as applied to most of your dreams involving them, I believe they symbolize healing, fate, and destiny on a spiritual/psychological level. Spider symbology can be intertwined with these, especially when the spiders are dreamt of in a positive way. They are also connected numerologically with the number eight, tied with the same meanings. The various colors of the spiders and your awe towards them reflect the awakening of energies within yourself. It is indicated that your childhood beliefs are a barrier to your progress (someone tries to shoo the spiders). The white tiger is an awesome image. A tiger is the highest expression of feminine energy, and white expresses newness. Taken together, I believe this white tiger symbolizes the emergence of power within you, a new (white) inner power (tiger) that is the result of the spiritual work you have been doing. This is why you were not afraid of it in the dream, because it is a part of you. This power will help you deal with the situation concerning your parents. In the particular dream you mention, I think the small spider represents you and the mother spider represents your mother. I think this dream reflects the differences between you and your parents, and also certain dynamics between your parents. How do you feel about this? Thank you for sharing your dream. IP: Logged |

Thank you, Ra =)I had an outing with my parents earlier this week, and we discussed the gambling and business. They listened to my concerns, and it does seem as if the gambling is easing off a bit. I do think the dream was partially about the dynamics/worry involving my parents, but mostly about my spiritual path. I have been doing a lot of chakra and aura work lately, and been returning to my spiritual side. I agree, my old childhood indoctrination is challenging to my path. My mother instilled in me her orthodox guilt ridden perspective on the religion of my upbringing. For many years, I felt fear as my nature pagan inclinations were evil in mother's eyes. Apparently I remind her much of my grandmother, who in her eyes was a witch. My father was more relaxed about religion, and never really bought into fear and guilt. He did however aagree with mother that paganism is evil and against God. When I moved away from home, I continued my path away from my family religion and into exploring other forms of spirituality. As I dug into estoric subjects such as astorlogy, natural rememdies, and tarot the old fears planted by my mother, would lure me away. I picked up my spiritual path again last year, and have felt many positive changers as the old fears/copnfusion are finally gone. I am finally feeling liek I am on the path to being who I really am, and it feels very liberating. I've also become close friends with other people who follow different paths, and this has been wonderful. I'm finding the more that I seek to learn, the more that things seem to make so much sense and fall into place. I really do think the spider and white tiger are very important symbols for me at this time =) IP: Logged |

I agree with Ra here. In the sense that this dream is more about your spiritual 'state' than anything else. The first things that came to me immediately were the colours WHITE and BLUE and spider faded out in the background. So spider is not that imp i feel. What struck me was you are spiritually centered (White) hence calm and composed in the middle of domestic/real life disturbances (spider). Spider weaves. So it, i feel, symbolises weaving of our life which our mind is always up to. The Blue colour only confirms your confidence which is the glowing kind and not the aggressive one. Hence what you say that i am cool holds water. So even the White Tiger with denotes spiritual power came through the gapping hole (your connectivity to your source) into your 3D life and touched the negative aspects there (not a good job environment etc). I hope i am not sounding all jumbled here. Wrote in a hurry.IP: Logged |
