Help me with the meaning of this ...

I was outside on a bench at night when a girl sitting on a bench next to me said, "Hey look at that leech over there."
The leech was sitting on the bench across from me. It looked up at me, grew very large in size ( had a snake like body) and developed a large beak. It came over to me and began talking to me - giving me prophecies of floods, bad weather, bad things to come. It kept putting it's beak over my arm and hand and I continued to shove it away from me telling it to get off of me.

Hello hopeful

I get the feeling that this talking leech represents someone you know, someone in your life, who is generally negative, having much bad to say about a lot of things. This person appears as a leech because he/she sucks the energy right out of you with his/her negativity. It has a beak because of the "pecking" nature of the individual.

If it does not represent a person in your life, then it is something you are reading, watching, or learning about.

Make any sense?

Agree with Ra and will add, they are snake-like and it is definitely a person. Beaks are for "pecking". Peck, peck, peck...

I know there will be more! I have many that have foretold events, two that were conversations with two separate childhood schoolmates that passed on and a few where a voice is shouting names I have never heard at me. The last dream I had like that was a voice shouting a females name and that she had died. I recall confusing it with a name of a friend, realizing I heard it incorrectly and that I was dreaming. The voice shouted the name louder and that she died. I searched the name and oddly found the exact name in the town next to me only it was her grandmother who died a few days before. I would love to know the significance of these random names.

That is very interesting. I am not sure what the significance of hearing these names is, but maybe we can figure it out as time goes by.
