So I got these 2 dreams in one night and I hope someone can help me interpret these dreams.

Dream 1: There was a shooting spree in the street outside our house...like there was a war or something. I was just standing in the sidewalk, dumbfounded at what was happening. Then I saw a man aiming his gun at me. I immediately hide at the back of the car but in my dream, I believed he shoot me even before I manage to hide but I wasn't harmed. After that I just run inside our house and hide inside.

Dream 2: I was with my mother that time, and we were walking in the street. I don't know where we're heading and we just keep walking. I was carrying 2 suitcases (I believed the other one was hers) and my mom was just walking beside me then suddenly I woke up. It confused me coz it ended just like that.

What do you these dreams mean?

TIA!

Hey Soulstress, in regards to the first dream about guns and shooting, I too have been having many gun related dreams and I think it has to do with the Colorado shooting and then the Connecticut shooting and all of the news coverage and my fear around it. It seems to be a general anxiety in people.

Hello soulstress

Something in your life is causing you stress and anxiety, and is causing you to feel insecure and uncertain. Your emotions are conflicted. It could be something like what bridgetostars said, or maybe something more personal like divorce, family, or school/social problems.

Is someone angry at you, or do you feel like someone may be?

Is there confusion in your life, or in your mind?

What is going on?

hmm..I dunno if there's anyone angry at me.

I was just sad..scared right now. I'm borbarded by responsibilities I'm not sure I can handle. -_-

And I dunno where I'm supposed to go. I felt alone.

I also had a dream that I'm cutting my hair short. I hate it. My hair has always been long. I don't like to cut it short.
Wondering why I did it in my dream.

1st dream:
Indicates a juggle of credit funds/repayments/interest that have been a bonus for you, so that you got more than what you paid for - theoretically - but I'm not sure how that would work.

And it is the hand of fate, you have not consciously done this, though you were conscious of trying to just spend everything you could and get what you wanted. But yes, somehow with two avenues of credit or something you have been able to offset costs and got what seems like a wealth of stuff for a very mediocre outlay. So am not sure whether it was due to sales, or a bonus credit hype, or something similar where you ultimately acquired excellent quality and fine things for prices comparable to other everyday stuff. If it is not you then it is your mother that has had this happen so perhaps it might be even post christmas sales, or credit bonus options. But I think it must be you because the last bit would make more sense.

As a result, the last bit, might see you feeling that others may judge you on what you have bought accusing you of your splashing out a fortune on things and being extravagant. You can understand this because it does look like you spent a fortune. As a safety measure you might try and hide some of your purchases and then just reveal them gradually over time - just to lessen the impact of what you have.

2nd dream:
Related to first dream in terms of your inclination to shop, shop, shop. You know your mother is exactly the same and its a relief to think that you can either laughingly blame her, or accuse her, of being the same as you with shopping. You almost don't even care what you get, as long as you like it, and its good value/or you got a good price. In fact you fear the idea of life without shopping - like in the back of your mind you think, what am I going to do with my life if ever in the future I can't shop very much. Just as people get mobophobia when they are separated from their mobile/cell phone or it runs out of battery or whatever, you get shopophobia if you don't have upcoming shopping time in mind or on the horizon.

It doesn't seem like it is a big deal to your being. Dreams often have a bit of instruction or teaching involved but this doesn't seem like you are disadvantaged on that level with this shopping thing.

I think the reason why you have dreamt this is because you are forming your character and there are themes around maintaining generosity, taking good care of yourself, having good relationships with friends and family, and gaining skills for managing your lifestyle, finances, and needs.

The image I got in the first sentence of the first dream, is like a ruffle on the neckline of a blouse that kind of shoots up and is like a designer type of top. It enhances your face, your skin is so good, clear and glowing and you could have fine jewellery like a dainty gold and pearl item. Whether you have these items or bought anything like them isn't the issue, it is more about the image that makes me read that what you bought was of high quality, design and make and enhances your presentation and appearance - sounds so superficial doesn't it, but its just how it is.

The dream about cutting your hair short is related to this money/values thing. You feel you may have to give the appearance that you are being good and thrifty with your spending - and buying only practical things or things that were needed.

Perhaps you are going back to college/university and now that the holiday season is over, you feel you have to look like you are sensible.

eh?! I didn't expect a totally different interpretation of these dreams. O_O I was really surprised.

But anyway, yes, very true. Me and my both love to shop. Guilty as charge. You nailed it!
I have a good eye for high quality products (not necessarily branded). It doesn't really matter how much it is. As long as I think I can afford it, I'll buy it. And I didn't think wanting to acquire good things, wanting to look good is superficial.

Ah yes..I think maintaining a 'BALANCED LIFESTYLE' is what I should do right now.

I totally didn't get this. I haven't thought of that.

Dreaming of getting your hair cut short, especially when you don't like your hair short, would seem like you may have to economise and don't like it.

In symbols, hair represents strength and power or prowess. So hair cut short in a dream can mean a loss of status, power, or ability to do what you want.

If you associate what you own and how you represent yourself as power/status, then the dream may portend having to cut back and this might make you feel less noticeable or less important.

Because you mention the cutting hair dream with the others, I would suggest that the loss of power to act is based around having to economise financially - because the other dreams were about spending/shopping/worth.

So I thought if you had to go back to school on a set budget as well as be just another student again - this would be a good example of these themes. But of course it could manifest as something else, however, the preparation is there for you to consider personal worth/power related to what you buy/own, and there is a strong indication, that you don't like being made to feel that you need to economise. You may have to though to look like you are being responsible and managing your situation to your resources.
