Recently, I just had a dream of this acquaintance of mine whom I haven't seen in a pretty long time. The dream felt real that I thought it was a memory of some sort. I was talking to him in my workplace about something I could not remember. The other day when I went to my workplace, I was so surprised to see him there, in the exact same scenario!

Could that be counted as a precognitive dream? I never had one before.. and if I did, I pray that my dream last night won't come true because I dreamed another very realistic dream that our dog suddenly died

It might have been. Sometimes dreams don't always mean what the "show". I have those types of dreams all the time. Sometimes things happen EXACTLY how they happened in the dream other times they just happen another way. It all depends. Your dog dying might actually be a friendship coming to an end or some talent that you have "dying".

A friendship ending is scarier :/ But you know, I was always interested with this stuff before but I think I don't want to experience any kind of precog dream anytime soon. O.o Thanks for replying btw, Debby!

Thats called deja vu! I have experienced it intensely several times. The environment, the exact place, the same persons and the same feeling. OMG. Boy does it give an indescribable feeling. And about your dog don't worry. Persons dieing in the dream, it seems, end up having longer life in real life. Thats what is said around here though i don't have any personal experience of this sort. So i think it could apply to dogs too and yes it could also imply what Debby has said here. It could also imply that a part of you that was so much YOU could die to give way to a new side of YOU. We cannot tell whats what immediately. These things we come to know in hind sight. I had n no of precognitive dreams in last decade or so and each one i came to know only when the incident occurred. Ofcourse they were little bit veiled every time, in some symbology or the other which i could identify with. Also it was dished out to me in the dreams in a way i could swallow.

Thank you for your replies! I feel better already haha. My subconscious must be telling me something I can't decipher yet as of now.
