This is the 4th time I have had a dream about this person in under 3 weeks. It's not usually the same dream, rather it looks like a continuation from the previous dream. However, the theme is similar.

Basically, a celebrity that I like keeps meeting up with me in my dream. We're either friends or going out to dinner - actually, twice, my dream about this person included us going out to dinner with a group - but each time, right before I begin to eat, I wake up.

But more importantly, while I hear this person in real life is really quite lovely, in my dreams she is not very nice to me, in particular. She is kind to my face, but I often find out within the dream that she has done or is planning on doing something that would be considered a betrayal of my trust and friendship. It seems, in the dreams, that she is very eager for everyone to like her, to the point of her trying to manipulate people's opinions about others to make herself look good.

I have no idea why my dream presents her that way, every single time.

FYI, I am not experiencing anything similar with anyone in my real life. Also, I am known to have clairvoyant/precognitive dreams that don't make sense until AFTER the event has occurred in real life (which makes them rather pointless), but these dreams have that quality to them.

Also, I do not believe that dreams are a reflection of your subconscious, etc. especially as it relates to me, so I'm really looking for any insight on the meaning of this dream as a predictive/precognitive/mystical event.

Thank you.

The way I see it, if these dreams are not reflections of information/energies picked up by your unconscious and presented via your subconscious, then there is little to interpret. Without subconscious intervention, there are no symbols, no substitutions, no representations. Everything will be quite literal. So, the way I see it, you will go out with this celebrity, never get to eat, and find out she's not as nice as everyone thinks she is.

How else can these dreams be viewed? There are certainly some other possibilities, but they require the decoding of potential symbols/representations created by your subconscious.

So, I am intrigued … what do you believe dreams are? And why are they not reflections "especially as it relates to" you? Can you expand on that?

I am anxious to learn more about your perspective.

All my life, I have had predictive dreams. The ones that are not predictive and are just a reflection of my daily events are usually straight forward. Example: I am worried about a specific matter, then I dream about the issue in a dream and it gives me anxiety.

What's different in those dreams vs. the dream I shared above is the feel and quality of the dream. At this point in my life, I can tell the difference between a subconscious dream vs. a predictive message and the dream above definitely feels like the latter.

But as I also stated, the messages in those types of dreams are often not so clear to me until the event has occured, at which point, I don't see how the dream helped me or anyone else.

Clearly, I am looking for the message in this dream that is not obvious and you are paraphrasing/re-summarizing the dream that I already had. My mind is insisting that I understand the message of the dream by showing it to me in 4 different ways. But why? What is it trying to say about the situation? That's what I'm asking about here.

Semantics. So there is subconscious intervention and the dream is symbolic.

Given what you have said, I would say that, if the dream is predictive, then someone whom you hold up on a pedestal is going to turn out to be someone entirely different. This is going to be a friend of yours who you hold in high regards, and this person is going to betray you in some way. If the dream is predictive, as you feel, then you will discover the manipulation.

How do you feel about that?

It sounds fine, except there is not one single person that I hold in high regards or particularly trust at this time.

Okay, you're probably not going to like this interpretation, but from my perspective, it is probably closer to the true meaning of the dream.

Celebrities in dreams are often reflections of ourselves, very often some aspect of our personality, and just as often something difficult to see or acknowledge. Could this be possible for your dream? Perhaps you see yourself as "really quite lovely", as you described the celebrity, but are you also guilty of "trying to manipulate people's opinions about others to make [yourself] look good"?

If this is true, it will take strength of character to see and admit. If it is not, then I do not know what else your dream could mean.
