For the past few years I have been having really vivid, realistic dreams. It's not necessarily that everything is my dreams is entirely plausible (although a lot of them deal with very mundane things), but they all *feel* so real and weighty, even after I wake up. I just learned about transits and I realized I have had Neptune transiting 12H, and I feel like the closer it's been getting to my ASC, the more vivid my dreams have gotten. Not sure if there's any basis in that for the experiences I've been having, but now I'm rambling.

Anyway, here are some wild things that I've dreamt recently:

1) A couple of weeks ago I had a dream where I was sitting extremely far out in outer space and looking down toward the direction of earth. I was floating atop a planet, so I wasn't on one...and I vaguely remember it being Saturn I was hovering above. What was also striking was that as I was looking down toward earth's direction, the planets spilled down in front of me in a direct line. I never actually saw earth, and I really only remember the line of planets with the black void of space everywhere else, but one planet was definitely greenish blue and another was more of a purple/pink...the rest I can't remember. I don't think anyone was physically with me out there, but in that scene I just remember hearing the words, "Now you know," and I was left feeling like I was finally supposed to be at peace and understand things.

2) I've been dreaming of twins A LOT recently. A few nights ago I dreamt of two young (maybe like six years old) twin girls. I knew both were alive at the beginning of my dream, but I only ever met one because the other had passed away in a car crash with her mother in the course of the dream. I met both the father and the one twin (she was blond) and I was in front of her watching her color at a table while I spoke to her father about how sad it was she had lost her twin. She was also in a very bright room, as if the sun were filtering in sometime in the morning.

3) I had another twin dream last night, but this time they were two young asian boys. I just remember thinking in my dream that I KNEW that our brains are incapable of making up faces in dreams (I once read somewhere the human mind is incapable of forming faces that we have never seen before), and that seeing these two boys with such vivid features was bizarre because it meant I had to know them....but I didn't. They were also young (maybe like 8-10), and only their mother was with them.

4) This is more muddy because it's just a scene from a dream, but I dreamt I was watching a man (a friend in my dream I felt) play a board game with a girl (another friend, though I also don't know her) where he was like hiding pictures from her on a small board that faced him and she was guessing them or having to draw them or something. At one point he started grinning and showed me the picture, and it was a crab, and in my dream I immediately connected it with Cancer, but I also felt confusion over its significance and why he was grinning. I also knew that the girl was unable to figure out this particular image and was either drawing something else or struggling to visualize the crab.

Not sure if anything is meaningful, but I'd love any feedback on these I know they're just snippets, but they're things that have stood out to among the more "mundane" scenes I've dreamt and understood better.

Hi,

Since it's snippets I'll try to give you some feedback on some of the symbolism. First: it's clear you are into astrology :-) (the planets, the crab). We all have our personal dream dictionary. To get more clues about what the dreams are about consider how you would explain Saturn to someone. That will give you more insight in your dream.
I'll keep the interpretation rather general.

The outer space one is telling you about the unlimited possibilities you have in your life. The planets I would interpreted as your own spiritual truths, the one you apply in living your daily life. Looking at the colors I would say you handle things in life speaking your truth and looking at events with love and compassion. So through a higher perspective/ your spiritual believe system.
The planets are in one line and hovering above Saturn would suggest you found structure in how to apply your beliefs into daily life. The 'now you know' could therefore point to having found your inner guidelines. And with that you realise the world (universe) is open to you.

--
As for the twins. The sex is of importance. I am assuming you are female. So the young girls would be part of yourself. One of them died in a car crash. Which side of yourself is not allowed to be out in the open? What part are you not taking care of? (The mother died 2, she is a part of internal care we give ourself).

The twin boys have a different meaning. You are not familiar with their power inside you yet (they are foreign). Jung speaks of the animus, the male power inside. This could help you manifest in the world. It's related to action.

Things to ask yourself: in which part of my life am I 2-sided? Which part of my self I am comfortable showing the world and which part I keep to myself?

Second: the age tells me that these parts of yourself are still rather new to you. They are young and need time 'to grow'.

That's it for now (also typing on phone ;-)
Hope it helps you a bit. If you keep a dream journal it can give you more insight in the themes playing in your life. Especially when you look at it for a longer period of times.

Bye

Hello calliope

Very nice interpretations by Twirl. I very much agree with the gist of her thinking, particularly with the twin symbolism. But we mustn't forget that twins are also representative of Gemini, so all of these dreams have an astrological correlation. That said, I feel like there is more going on in these particular dreams than the purely symbolic.

To me, these dreams have a quality that is different than typical "mundane" dreams, as you picked up on. In addition to the level of symbolic meaning, as Twirl has given, the dreams convey the feeling of an experience. It could be that these dreams are more like fragmented memories of astral-type experiences, ones in which you are being guided and you are journeying, learning, helping others, and so enriching yourself. If this is so, then the lessons you are learning astrally/unconsciously will bubble up into your waking consciousness as rather sudden and innate understanding of specific subjects, such as astrological nuances, among others.

How do you feel about this?

Hello Calliope and Ra,

If I can speak before my turn: loving your take, Ra. Would also be very interested to see how this unfolds, so I'm keeping my eyes on this thread

To both Ra and Twirl:

Thank you both so much for your insight!

#1) I have to agree with Ra: these dreams feel more...hmm, symbolic? heavy? atypical?...than normal dreams do. If not for the pure fact that i wake up "feeling" them than anything else.

#2) Twirl: your twin analysis really got me thinking in a way I never would have before. I always attributed this twin presence to a Gemini interpretation (and you're right with my being into astrology as a way to navigate my "personal dream dictionary"!), but I can very much resonate with a hidden/unseen side of myself being present.

In my own "personal" way, I see these as somehow in correlation with the female energy (crab/Cancer) [myself?] and with something unknown to me as of yet (the planetary journey/unconscious truth)...having been told I "now know" in my dream is interesting to me, because I still don't know...and yet, I sense that somewhere I do. The young age of the twins (as you pointed out, Twirl), probably means I've yet to discover the journey/way to discover this path or to "help others" (as you, Ra, pointed out).

It's funny, because when I wake up from these types of dreams I feel as if I "know" deep down what I'm supposed to be doing/going after, and yet I can't bring to a conscious level what it is outside of the dream experience, like 2 minutes later. It's like I understand and know my path, but it's fuzzy and far and physically murky....like an embodiment or figure or scene I can't bring into focus while awake. Which is so frustrating, because asleep...I know and sense what it is!

I'm sounding arcane an weird right now though! I promise to keep posting as to how things shape up

Hi :-)

Cool to read your reply. Doesn't sound weird and arcane to me at all. Not sure if this will be of help, but I come from the 'school' of Jungian interpretation and belief/experience that the process of individuation as described by Jung is the goal of existence. You can give this many names, enlightenment/getting back to your core, etc. This process can be found in Tarot.
Dreams (and all divination means) can guide and tell people how to get more in tune with themselves.
From what I experienced the vividness of the dreams will increase when someone starts working with it (by keeping a dream journal). And also pointing out the deeper layer of the subconscious. So the intensity of the dreams you describe feel normal to me. But of course they are very symbolic.
And just how I look at things of course.

If you liked the correlation of the unseen side of yourself, in Jung's work there is many information on that (shadow side of self, getting to shed light on hidden patterns, etc.)

If you feel the cancer related to you, I would say it definitely is. Questions you can ask yourself: are you okay with your imaginative side, your emotions? Was it a disapproving grin or an encouraging one? This could give you more clues to the meaning.
Or what trait of the cancer is most significant to you?

Love to read any updates.
Happy dreaming :-)

I am in 100% agreement with Twirl. (I, too, lean towards a Jungian approach)

Thank you for sharing your dream, Calliope. Looking forward to future posts.
