This is a dream that keeps reoccurring so i'm usually out, by the beach, having a good time, with strangers or friends, and sometimes both suddenly i sense that a giant wave is approaching, so i try to warn everyone and make them run to higher ground, but no one seems to listen to me, the wave approaches, and i try to protect everyone , using my magical powers, i create a force field i repel the wave , for as long a s i can, sometimes other people with powers help me hold the barrier. sometimes,i run to higher ground, and the wave comes and washes everyone away, and all i do is stand and watch from a hill topIP: Logged |

Hello dreamrunner, welcome to LindaLand This is an interesting dream which can be interpreted in several ways. If you had included some feelings about the dreams in your description, a meaning would be easier to determine. How do you feel in these dreams? Even so, the clues are there, hidden within the symbology, and it is deep, perhaps overwhelming (giant wave). It could be suggested that there is a "wave" of emotional energy within you which periodically manifests and that you do not want to deal with (force field/barrier), trying again and again to push it back down within yourself. You don't want to feel it. The dreams also convey the sense that you feel a great responsibility for, or duty to, others. However, I think your magical powers and protection of others are compensating for feelings of helplessness and powerlessness in waking life, as reflected by the dreams wherein you are watching the people get washed away. Are you trying to keep a particular emotion at bay? Do you fear that the appearance of this emotion could cause you pain, or harm others? Are you burdened by a specific responsibility to others, or do you feel powerless in your life? Do you feel as if you are paid no attention or not taken seriously? There are some other ways to think about these dreams, but let's start with this line of thought. IP: Logged |

1.when no one listens to me, i feel sad and frustrated as i am trying to help these people, because they don't know what's coming, but yet no one wants to listen,2. when i create the force-field i feel like i'm doing something good, i feel powerful, and feel accomplished that i am protecting everyone around 3. sometimes , the people do listen, and we're slowly moving to higher ground, with their belongings, we take refuge in a huge building, and my dog, a Labrador, helps me take care of everyone. 4. another time, i'm at a beach party, at the party there is every single person that i know present there, including my family and their friends, but they are in a separate section of the place, and at the party i have a fight with a close friend (i know him for the last 7 months[in reality]) the entire night i ignore him, and we fight, and then we all see the wave approaching, and everyone is prepared to die, and my friend an i haven't made peace with each other, so finally another friend of mine, forces me to go talk to him and reconcile our differences since its the end of the world, so i go up to him, and he was actually just waiting to forgive me, so i hug him, and kiss him, and then water starts to rise. . . so he tells everyone to follow him. for once everyone listens and we climb up these huge trees ( that have no leaves) everyone does the same, and we watch the ground get covered with water. for the first time,i feel so relaxed even though the world was ending, for the first time i felt so safe with my friend. i usually get upset every time i have this dream, about the wave, but for the first time i'm happy i have a friend to save me, instead of me trying to save everybody. So, do you think these dreams have to do with feeling powerless in waking life? Do you feel powerless in waking life?IP: Logged |

I have tsunami/wave dreams too - even when there is nothing bothering me emotionally, etc. It seems silly, but I feel that it had some connection to do with the Atlantis because most of the time I'm in some old European city...Maybe check out y,our asteroids? It might shed light on other stuff too - I really like your dream power of being able to create a shield to protect others. Seems pretty neat-o. Right on! IP: Logged |

In response to your previous questions, I mostly suppress my negative feelings, in fear that they may hurt the people around me especially my family. I feel that I need to keep up an appearance or maintain a reputation for the sake of my family and society. I do feel powerless most of the time, as I'm not allowed to make my own decisions, and I lack freedom due to medical reason and also because I'm overly over protected by my family They treat me as a child and don't take me seriously at most times. Mostly I put up a front, for everythin I do everyday of the week because I'm always surrounded by strangers. Who don't care about really knowing me but have this image of me that they have in their minds. Is this helping to interpret it?

Yes, your explanations fully make sense of the dreams ... can you see it? Your supressed negative feelings are the giant wave. You protect those around you from them, as with a magic barrier. But you have magical powers in the dreams also because you feel powerless in real life. Your subconscious is kind of making up for things in your dream life. Does this make sense? Thank you for sharing your dream. IP: Logged |
