Are you 'keeping up appearances' to the outside world? Do you feel uncomfortable sharing your 'hurts' and 'problems' with them? Would it make you feel inadequate if you do?
Bathrooms and toilets are the places we clean ourselves from what is no longer necessary in your life.

I saw the first reply also. Are there more details you can remember from the dream? Is it dark or light when you are in there? Whose bathroom are you in? Do you know the people? Groups of people almost always relate to a shared belief of a society and 'having to act a similar way'. Even though you clearly have a different point of view on this. The overall emotion seems to be related with 'shame' (you are not supposed to express/feel this). Just some more thoughts.
I'm also intrigued about the wiping, but can't put my finger on it completely. You write: 'you have to wipe yourself'. This leaves room for word play. Do yo feel you want to 'wipe yourself completely' from a situation. Do you feel too much at times? What is shaming you? Are the amount of emotions you feel 'wiping you out'? Try to recollect how you feel in the dream. Those are good clues.

As for Neptune: it is in my 7th house, so all my partners need thorough background checks anyway, lol. I really tend to see the potency in them, which quite often isn't how they are in that point of time. Needless to say I also attract men who like to drink a lot or indulge (have indulged on drugs) :-/

Precisely what I was thinking.

Are you doing something you are ashamed of? Or are you hiding something from others? Are you afraid of what others will think when you come clean?

Whatever this dream symbolizes, it seems to be referring to a point of very personal, private stress … what comes to mind?

It's usually a public bathroom, but a few times it was just a toilet and people around me were going about their business and not noticing me that I was peeing, but when it comes time to wipe... I'm afraid to for fear of drawing their attention.

No one there that I recognize.

I am such an open person, one who blurts out everything to people... I am not secretive at all. I have no 12th house planets. I have this dream maybe once or twice a month. Each time a different room... once it waS somewhere familiar like somewhere I used to work because I knew where the rest room was... but when I got there the toilet is in the middle of the room with people all around.

The last time I had this dream I even said to myself in the dream... oh no, not again.

I can't think of anything and this dream has been going on for like the past year or two. I am not one to hide things... my husband is always elbowing me to be quiet because I tend to tell people too much. With me, what you see is what you get.

Heaven forbid if somehow hubby were to see what I wrote. He often comes in and looks over my shoulder. That would be so hurtful when he has been so good to me... I do love him but it isn't the romantic type. But thankfully, I'm old enough now to be beyond that. It's just that sometimes he annoys me to no end. He has that ringing in his ears and it makes it hard for him to hear so I have to repeat everything I say... it really does get tiresome. I try to be nice, but often I snap when he says, "What? or Huh?" With Aries rising I have little patience. But if anything ever happened to him I'd be lost.

I'll keep thinking too. I'm on a water pill and often get up in the night to go, I wonder if the dream occurs just because I have to "go" during the dream and so it just puts me on that toilet in the middle of a room of people.

Yeah, I can imagine that.
Dreaming of going to the bathroom does happen when we have to get up and go to the toilet, but the frequency of your dreams and the similarity tells me there is more to it.
Public restrooms with lots of people speak of 'no privacy'. So that actually also resonates with what you write. Perhaps you are ashamed of being 'too open' and reflect on that later ("Oh dear! What are they going to think! What did I expose!?")
