I don't know whether to call this a dream. I was awake in the morning at around 6-6.30 and still lying in the bed as i don't get up as soon as i wake up. I fell into 'sleep' again and saw this single duck. It was snow white and quite big. I first thought that it was a swan then saw the shape carefully and realised that it was a duck. It had a yellow beak and yellow clean webbed feet as perfect as a picture. Its neck was longer than that of a duck but not as long as that of a swan. It was all by itself and there was nothing and no one around. Not even another duck. It took a few steps ahead and seemed to be doing nothing in particular. There was no water no swarm. I woke up wondering what was a single duck about. Any ideas folks?Edit: It was dark around.  SOmewhat like this one but the beak and feet were sun yellow and the beack was flat like Donald duck's. And its face portion, if may say so was more like a swans and yes the eyes too were bigger. And the torso. OMG it almost sounds like a swan. Lets say a swanlike duck. IP: Logged |

Makes me think of the fairytale of the ugly duckling though. Are you growing into a swan while everyone thinks you are a duck? Are people criticizing you for your behaviour, because they just don't get you are rather different from them? And you don't understand that they don't understand you? Are you finding and connecting more to your group of people? (the ones you relate to most - are on your level)? That's the major theme of the fairytale story.
Would love to hear if this resonates.

Thanks Twirl for your prompt reply. I don't know. But i am changing alright. And yes i don't gel with a number of persons in my work area and also life. I am quite OK with them BUT don't really go deep. Don't fit into their way of thinking. I just googled and saw some of the duck meanings and found that one could be deceit, being fooled. That also could be because in the office i am facing such a situation. I know it but don't seem to be able to do anything about it.  Does anything else come out of it too? I am open to more inputs. Welcome  Just make me think instantly of that. If I use the 'common approach' it would refer to your emotions and behaviours most likely. Animals represent your instinct. The prominent yellow I would link to the third chakra, that of your own power and how much of yourself you dare to communicate. The fact that is was dark would tell me you are 'in the dark' about this. Also the shape shifting is interesting. Do you feel you should 'shape shift' a lot in real life? Adjusting a lot? If you mention that issue at work, are you not addressing it, 'ducking it'...
Think you might be right and it could refer to that.
I'm still also playing with the duckling story. That you are trying to get more 'into yourself' (the swan). In that case the yellow also points to expressing your personal power a bit more (beak=expressing + feet = working from that as a base).

Hello Love&Light Consider also that a duck is a creature of both air (communications) and water (emotions), as well as land (grounding). Could there be an issue concerning these elements - communication, emotions, and possibly being grounded? Are you avoiding/"ducking" the issue? Or maybe something is coming your way and you'll need to "duck"!  IP: Logged |

Hello, Ra its so nice to see you! I hope things are going well. Yes you are right. I am having some issues in the office. So i have chosen to duck in some. Taking a lot of things into consideration i reached the conclusion that it was the best thing to do. So i cannot tell the truth and i am Saggi with Pluto punching mercury in first. So you can imagine what a difficult time i must be having keeping my mouth shut (as far as possible  ). Plus a couple of ppl working against my/dept's interests including my boss. So i feel that the ground below is shifting. That shakes the emotional security too. So i guess all this spilled over in my dream. Ssssiigghhh! THank You. Helped me to think clearly. It could also mean that i could be the sitting duck in future for a transfer order which i am planning to take with open arms. Shoot me!  I need a change so badly. Thanks again. IP: Logged |

Hi Twirl you got some beautiful insights there. I am going through such a phase in my job now that i am getting considerable jealousy from ppl without doing anything against them or anything detrimental. If i talk i dont know what else would happen. But u guys did help me to think that i COULD have a word with my boss in a different way. I will try. Besides i am juggling beautifully in different work areas like a duck. No one does that here. So i am not appreciated. And could be the 'sitting duck'. And YES this SWan story resonates in the sense that i am trying to love unconditionally. Even my mentor has advised to do so long time back but my office job is going at a tangent. So there is a tug of war between getting things done in different ways with different approaches - duck and loving unconditionally - swan. Sssiiigghhh! Secondly, i am both tough and soft. And this is what all can see BUT what they cannot see is my underlying LOVE. I have the good of all at heart in general. Going through Saturn 7 1/2 year cycle. So could be a lot of misunderstandings. Besides i can't be lovy-dovy at the cost of work all the time. I end up patching up for others when they are lax most of the times. So i guess that is the bone of contention. (Dark and Light). Can't help with the dream but the animal made me think of a link I like since every so often there's a specific animal that keeps crossing my path, Animal Totem Meanings and Animal Symbolism ~ there's a link there for swan, might be worth a look (?)IP: Logged |

@Lonake - Thanks for the link. What a coincidence when i googled for duck i came across this and went through it. Isn't it very interesting? Specially the Hamsa concept. Actually i thought and felt that i resonated with this then swept it aside thinking that it was a duck after all though swanlike and i am perhaps unnecessarily reading too much into it. And there you sent me the link. WoW! I take it as a signal from the universe. THanks!I got another signal today.
