Seems some times the dreams are just piling up.

This one was odd.

First I was with my family, my parents and my middle brother, and we were walking along a street, and saw a road leading into a forest on a hill, but I decided to check it out later, and headed towards a fastfood diner. Well Iwas not as quickly walking as them, as there was a small slope I had to climb downhill and though it was smooth and not that high, I was VERY carefully treading there. The diner, though it was a fast food restaurant from the outside, was having quite luxurious furniture. They were even having very comfortable black leather armchairs. LOL

While I was pushing one of these chairs closer to the table (there were not enough for all of us), and sat down, I suddenly blacked out.

When I woke up in that dream again, I was in a very small (white) cabin somewhere. It was almost like a "holding cell/ waiting room", and I was not alone there, there were other people there; some because of some felony on their records, some because they needed therapy or medical (therapeutical) treatment. Though it was more or less a "waiting room", I knew that it was supposed to be a residence for a long time.

I had no idea what I had done, or how I ended up there, or how long I would be held there, but I knew that it would be for quite a long time. I never even had a doubt that I "belonged" there, though I could not remember of any felony I had committed.

At first it was okay with me, but then I became aware of how small the cabin was, how the walls seemed to come closer together, and how the oxygene was probably not enough for long, and though I di dnot panic, I already felt like the oxygene was getting scarce (I guess this is a friendly reminder of the Aida-musical and the immurement of the two main protagonists, which I felt so strongly resonate within me).

However then the door was opened, and one of the inhabitants was being collected to get transferred somewhere else; right after that a woman appeared, part guard, part nurse, and she was pressing a remote control into my hands (I have no idea why. lol), but also mentioned that the button for the main entrance did not always work reliably. I was very surprised, but anyway; so when she wanted to leave, I asked her to at least tell me why I was being there and how long I would have to stay there.

She turned back to me and seemd very surpised and then said: "You are here only as long as you want to stay. Whenever you are ready to leave, you just have to say so. Noone`s holding you here. This is not a jail, you know?"

Well, I then told her that I wanted to leave, and she agreed with me. However she also said to me that before returning to the real world, I needed to know that things have changed in the meantime. It is the same world, but I would perceive it differently.

Most of my memories would have been revoked. (she handed a little notebook to me, which aparently contained my memories; I was a bit panicky, cause there were some memories I would have liked to keep. The notebook was quite small, but when I brushed it open, I saw that one of my most treasured memories was still there, and for some reason that relieved me; as if it was important to keep that memory intact).

However she then kept on saying: "Other memories might still be there, but they will feel different, the world will feel different, because the emotional imprint of these memories is not active anymore."

And then I remember sitting in a car with windows, and was being driven through the city (near my hometown), and when I looked out of the window, I realized she was right. Of cuorse I knew the streets and everything, but it felt sort of new. Like I was looking at it differently.

Beautiful dream! Really moving forward and coming to terms with things from the past. Letting go of what is no longer needed & freeing yourself from obstructing thoughts. This is related to your 'open window'-dream. Same themes
I'll write some more when I have the time to sit down for it

Hello Ceridwen

Yes, quite beautiful!

Very briefly, the dream suggests that you have not been following the path you truly want to walk (road in forest), instead following more what you think others expect, or perhaps what is more traditional (walking with family). Even though the "fast track" or the "usual" (fast food place) contains within it certain attractions, comforts, and amenities (luxurious, comfortable furniture) it may leave you feeling lacking (not walking as quickly as others) and perhaps out of place (no room at table).

The dream expresses that you are "confined" of your own making, by your own thoughts, and that ultimately you are in control (you have remote/you may leave when you wish). Very clearly, the dream is telling you that in order to change the world around you, you must simply change the way you think. The illusion is yours to make of as you wish.

It seems as if you have already begun this transformation (being driven in car).

What do you think?

Thank you, both.

You were both spot on I think. This is how I would interprete the dream as well.
Interesting, Ra, that you pointed out that road into the woods, I had almost forgotten about it in the latter part of the dream. But it struck me when I passed it, that it was not a thorny narrow path, but instead more like a pretty broad, comfortable, yet completely natural way. And the forest was situated on a little hill, and looked "inviting". Maybe because it was such a sunny day and the birds were chirping. lol

I often dream of forests and woods btw. Maybe this is because I love them so much. it`s just so beautiful in the midst of a forest during summer or late spring when the sun breaks through the leaves and makes everything glitter and shine.
(must have to do with happy childhood memories, as there was a big wood outside where we lived, and my parents always took us children for a walk there, at least once a week).

And yes, the transformation definitely is underways. it clearly has started, but is not finished yet.

Funnily when I woke up today, I still had a voice from my dream, that I do not remember, in my mind that was mentioning of "preparing for the Oak King".
Now I have got to research that.
(the athmosphere of the reminder of that dream was the same as in my sequential Druid-dreams some years ago, or actually being like red thread through my life since I was maybe 15)

I just was looking for a link about the Oak king, and found this:

"Hence the Oak king can take the crown and woo the Spring Maiden, the spring maiden is the Lady Ceridwen, also known in Anglo Saxon is Eostre, Goddess of spring, she and the Mabon meet now (Spring Equinox) as masculine and feminine energies mix to bring forth the fertile season."

http://www.mysticfamiliar.com/library/witchcraft/holly_and_oak_king.htm

That`s my name.

I had no idea before, but I wonder if maybe in another life I knew.
Well, the thing is I did not pick this username, it picked me.

That is pretty awesome. Very interesting.

Thank you for sharing your dream, Ceridwen.

Though an unusual name, I've always liked it.
