I had a weird dream where I saw a miniature version of a lion, which I first mistake it to be a cub. It had mane, so it is a lion and not lioness and its skin was that of a tiger - orange with back stripes. So it is either a hybrid of tiger and lion or a lion disguised as a tiger. It was finding difficult to crawl on the floor as it was finding it slippery, and out of sympathy I take it in my arms. It was cute and everyone (my in-laws) around it were admiring its cuteness. What does this mean ? In he dream I even saw 2 of my professional acquaintances appearing shorter than me and I had to bend and talk to them. (In reality they are taller than me). IP: Logged |

Hey Cathy, I would say the tiny lion and the need for you to take care of it, is related for the need to feel more confident. You are just starting to express yourself more (lion is all about self expression, also look up Leo sun sign) and 'asserting yourself more' (tiger is much more fierce about this and you are trying to tap into that energy). But it's rather 'new' (tiny) and feels 'slippery'. Did you 'outgrow' your professional job? (What do these professionals stand for)? Hope this helps IP: Logged |

Hi Twirl, Though I'm happy about the progress I'm making on my career, somehow I feel I'm not given enough opportunities to showcase my strength. Sometimes I have to restrict myself according to the requirements that come in, so eventually it is not more than any other person would do. Though I get appreciated for what I do, somehow I'm not currently feeling satisfied. Just like the tiny lion, I've started expressing my opinion, but I'm not sure how the receiving person see my assertiveness. One of the professionals in the scene is directly related to my work and in the dream he has a shocked expression on his face when he comes to me. He says I've not answered his phone calls and I'm surprised at his complaint as I wasn't aware of a call from him. After sometime I see him going in a vehicle (painted orange and black) with a tear drop just coming out of his left eye. The other person is not directly related to my work and I haven't interacted to him personally too. But I know him. In the dream, he becomes short and says I'll have to bend in order to talk to him. A lion/tiger is also the largest of the felines, symbolizing the highest form/power of feminine energy, so it could be related to your feminine energies or aspects. From this perspective, the dream could suggest that within you resides a great feminine power which is not fully recognized (is it a lion or a tiger?) or expressed (miniature/difficulty walking) and needs only to be embraced (take in arms) in order to grow and be appreciated or recognized by others (you are taller/everyone admires). All that being said, I like what Twirl has written and think her perspective may be more relevant. I'm only offering an alternative meaning. I hope you guys are sorting out some good stuff. Hi Ra, I see some relevance between yours and Twirl's approach to my situation. Though Twirl was referring to assertiveness and you referred to the feminism aspect, I see a common need for recognition of the part in me, on both my side and others around me. In either professional or personal side, I'm in need of some progress to take place Will work on it. Thank you so much for your views. IP: Logged |

For me this is mostly how I would look at the dream. Ra makes a good point about it both being felines. Felines for me actually come up as independence. So being more independent about expressing yourself. There is a big difference between the tiger and the Leo though. A Tiger is power-driven and aggressive. A Lion will find the internal strength and playfulness. The Lion knows the power comes from the inside (and is related to inner creativity). His approach is much softer. I also like Ra's point on the 'embracing'. If I take that in, I would say you embracing the lion might suggest you nurture this part of yourself. From pure internal expression (and being aligned to that) comes external appreciation. The tiger is forceful in being recognised. See if you can tune in how you felt about the lion and the tiger. I would also say this is related to your job field. I find that you wrote ‘bend down’ most interesting. It also can be related to recognition. Do you (feel) as if you have ‘to bend down’ (bow to their opinions and approach first) before they hear what you have to say? Perhaps the dream is telling you to first go along with their opinions, build on your inner strength and creative expression (which for others, especially if you are new to the job, takes a while to see) for them to start hearing it. The more ‘pushy’ tiger energy can probably wait for now. I also find it interesting that the worker leaves in an orange and black vehicle (colors of the tiger). And you haven’t answered the calls? Are you listening to their input or do you mostly want to express your ideas without taking in their authority in this field? Just some thoughts on it of course

I agree this, I saw the lion to be very playful and cute and everyone around admiring it. I saw the tiger only in its skin so only the behaviour of lion was prominent. quote:

I can very well relate to these statements. I feel I'm having to bend down, first go on with the regular thing and may be after sometime my ideas would come to fruition. But I have been incorporating what the person advices me, but according to what I understand, he is not satisfied with what I do, like he expects some kind of a skillset, but the skillset which I have, is not being recognized. May be it would take some time for me to convince them first with their requirement and then bring out what I have. Thank you for your thoughts It resonates so well. IP: Logged |
