dreaming my niece and i were standing by the kitchen sink at my mother's house. it was a very lucid dream and I felt i was absolutely there. I asked her if i was really there or if it was a dream. She said it was a dream- i asked her again and she said the same thing and i realized i should be asking her different questions i needed answers for. She was very real to me until i looked up again and her eyes were sort of crossed out and the image of her body was there but her 'essence' had checked out of the scene and, instead of looking around and getting my things from the house, I too went away.IP: Logged |

I asked because the quality of your dream sounds very similar to several dreams I have had which included deceased family members. In my experience there basically are two kinds of dreams with the deceased. One type is the rather normal type of dream in which the deceased plays a typical dream role, just like any other person in the dream. The other type involves the actual presence/energy of the deceased. These kinds often involve various degrees of conscious awareness and other factors which set these dreams apart from the rest. Your dream is like that. There often does not seem to be any meaning in the dream except for the recognition of the deceased, and sometimes the exchange of emotional energy. Do you feel like your mother was visiting you in your dream? That's my take. IP: Logged |

Oh! I read that wrong, then. So you are talking to your niece, not your mother. Have you dreamt of your mother since her passing? Do you think it is possible that she could have been present in some way as your niece? I don't know why I am stuck on this idea. IP: Logged |
