The tsunami dreams finally came to an end but now almost every night I have been dreaming about aliens.

It's usually chaos: people running around trying to flee, objects floating in the night sky (the sky is dark yet red), aliens abducting anyone in sight.
Strangely enough, I am not afraid in these dreams despite all the panic..and on a journey to find friends and family iqn all the mess.

For the past two weeks now, I've been having flashes of memories which I had buried really deep. I was wondering if these alien dreams are somehow connected?

Hi Charmainec,

Have you been trying to fit in these old memories that came up with your current life views/way you live your life? (also in relationship to others) Trying to organise these old memories in your mind, but are you not sure how to?
Is it too much to fit that in? Does it feel 'out of worldly', overwhelming perhaps? Overall I get a feel of 'conflict', anger perhaps (because of the red). What is 'conflicting' in real life for you?

That's my first impression, but it highly depends on what your view is on aliens in general. Do you read a lot about it? How do you feel about it? Do you like to watch movies about this or is the concept of aliens literally 'alienating' to you?
Or do you feel you are perhaps battling with something completely 'unknown´to you? With all the people involved in the dream I'm thinking it might involve conflicting beliefs with the public arena (society). You still know to find your own 'friends' in the chaos (so in touch with your beliefs).

Hope these views and questions can get you started a bit.

Bye

Hi Twirl and thanks.

Loads to ponder with some of the questions you have asked.

The general concept of aliens fascinates me as I do believe there may be some other life forms out there in the distant galaxy.

Strangely enough, I often joke about being an "alien" since I'm living in a foreign country. Besides adjusting, I just don't feel the need to conform to society standards to "fit in" and be more "Americanized". Argh. Maybe this is what these dreams are about..

As for the memories; many were suppressed for many years. Them surfacing now could be an indication that I am emotionally ready to handle them.

Hi Charmainec,

I like what you wrote about 'feeling an alien' in your new country. I'm inclined to look at your dream in that way then: the adjusting, the differences, etc. Especially because I think the dream is more external (about how you are relating to society). So you are living in an 'alien society' (new country). It would then also refer to your adjusting process. Not so much about the old memories coming up.

Good thing in the dream is that you feel calm and basically 'know where you stand' (you find (?) or are you searching (?) your friends and family). It also resonates with what you write: 'I don't feel the need to conform to society standards'. If you are on a journey to find your friends and do not find them in the dream it says you are still searching for your 'inner base' within the chaos, so moving countries is less overwhelming.

The chaos and conflict would in that respect still relate to the adjusting process (the UFO's (strange thoughts and beliefs)

I'm still pondering over the colour red some more, because it has so many different meanings. It also refers to the base chakra (that what forms our identity, gives us a firm base). This being connected to the sky (endless possibilities, the future, etc.) could then refer to finding a new base within this 'alien world'. It's still dark though, so you are still searching (internally) to how you could fit it all into one view (your own view and be balanced with that on all levels (emotional, mind, etc.). If that happens, I think these series of dreams will stop

Love to hear how this resonates. If you remember more details it cpuld help to pin point it even more.

Hello charmainec

Very interesting dream. I love the conversation you're having with Twirl. I tend to think that these dreams are connected more with your buried memories, and I'll explain why as soon as I get a chance.

Elo Twirl!
Hi Ra!

In the alien dream I had last night:

Was going to everyone's homes to find them. Mum's house was empty, proceeded to my brother's place, searched and found my nephew hiding in the basement. He replied with, "They took them", when I asked where the rest of the family was.

He was afraid to leave the house but I insisted that we had to leave. Somehow I intuitively knew that the aliens would take him but not me.
I carried him and told him to close his eyes (so that he didn't see all the fighting taking place between the aliens and the people - some people were turning on each other too; out right violent, stabbing, shooting etc)

We had to cross a field with all this happening and there was no other route around it. The sun and moon were next to each other yet the sky was darkish and red. (Btw, the red sky used to appear in the tsunami dreams as well).
Spaceships were floating in the air making pretty geometrical patterns in the sky (golden yellow, orange and white).

Holding onto my nephew tightly, I walked across the middle of the "battle field".
Even though the aliens saw us, they didn't try and grab us. Instead they continued taking the other people putting up a fight.

The was a road on the other side of the field. My sister was standing their happy to see us. We started running, following the road and it started to crack with lava oozing out. We were soon running out of space to run due to the cracks and lava..
Next thing you know an alien zapped me with net from one of the "spaceships"..leaving my sister and nephew behind. I started to scream and cry - then woke up.

Again, there was no feeling of fear towards the aliens only extreme sadness and panic when my sister and nephew were left behind and fear of the aliens snatching my nephew.

I haven't had time to analyze your most recent dream, but I think it fits with the general ideas that I'm going to give you.

If these dreams were occurring more closely after your arrival here in the States, I'd be more quick to attribute them to your "alien" status. But being an "alien" in NYC (isn't that where you are?) is not all that unusual, and you've been "exposed" for a while now, so do you still feel like an "alien"? Besides that, these alien dreams are coming on the heels of the "tsunami" dreams, which to me could suggest the elevation of unconscious material from one level to another.

Energy/material from your unconscious has begun to emerge (ocean/tsunami) and manifest in the realm of thought/conscious awareness (sky/UFOs), although still in the form of an "alien" aspect of yourSelf, not fully recognized, perhaps your Shadow. The "dark yet red" sky could symbolize the process of the energy emerging (red) from its unconscious (dark) abode.

Therefore, I think your intuitive wondering about the connection between these dreams and your buried memories is correct, and because you are not afraid in these dreams and you are searching for comfort (friends/family) "despite the panic"/chaos, your statement that these memories " surfacing now could be an indication that I am emotionally ready to handle them" is spot on.

How do you feel about this?

Walk in Peace

I totally agree.

If these memories had to surface two or three years ago, I definitely wouldn't be able to handle them.
They were buried for a reason and I had made my peace with many aspects of my past which is why remembering now doesn't affect me.

I think my nephew (who is much younger in the dream) symbolizes trying to keep that child like innocence safe.

Still trying to connect it though.

Thank you, Ra.

To me, the last dream suggests that a change is taking place concerning the suppressed memories.

There is still a great deal of internal conflict within (Sun and Moon together/battlefield), and perhaps anger permeating/encompassing the issue (red sky/fighting/shooting). But progress is being made, as meaningful structure and organization of the sub/unconscious energies concerning the memories/thought-forms is in process (spaceships making pretty geometrical patterns), promising healing (golden-yellow), balance (orange) and understanding (white). Very strong emotional energy, likely buried for some time, will no doubt be the greatest obstacle (lava).

This is the first alien dream in which you have been captured, to me the clearest indication that a shift is taking place. I think this is symbolic of the stage in the process where you are getting closer to incorporating or "owning" this issue. In the dream you scream and cry at this point, quite naturally, but this also suggests that the release of pent-up emotional energy is coming.

Hi Charmainec,

I agree with Ra on the last dream. Also loving the take on the geometrical patterns.

Definitely dealing with the memories. I see that in the houses you are visiting. Your mums house is empty which makes me think of the relationship with your mum. Whatever happened there, you are 'in the clean'with (empty).

I'm intrigued about your nephew hiding in the basement. You are getting him out of there, so that could symbolise one of the suppressed memories. Have a think about how you see him. Is it really your inner child or is there something more to it? Generally inner childs are shown by the same sex (so it would be a girl). What is the connection with your nephew? What is your relationship with him? What is the main characteristic coming to mind when you think of him? That gives you clues of what it is he is representing to you.

The battlefield for me represents the inner struggles.
Also the aliens taking your sister and nephew might point to what (memories) they represent to you, is needing a bit more time to deal with and integrate it in who you are as a person now/giving it 'a place'/accepting.

I'm still a bit stumped about what the aliens represent. How did you feel about the aliens in this dream? Did they really scare you or are they (even though there is chaos) helping in a way also. I'm just brainstorming a bit here...
Edit: I just read there was no fear, but just sadness. I still wonder if there might be a helpful side to them though. Abducting in order to take it away until you are ready. Think Ra said something like that in his first analysis? (Or I read it that way).
Okay, I'm leaving the aliens for now, but love to find out their symbolism in your dream

The difference with the first dream and this one is, is that the first i.m.o. refers more to the inner-outer world. So basically more in relationship to the here and now with other people involved (society).
The second one is clearly about your personal development.

The field you have to cross is probably representative of 'having to deal with it at some point to move forward'. (reaching 'calmer areas')

Lava cracking the road (your personal path) reminds me of what is hidden beneath, but not yet completely coming to the surface, but getting there. Lava 'sleeps', but it is awakening now. Could again refer to your memories working their way into your consciousness. Also what Ra said about the lava; strong emotional energy. Especially because of the colour of lava also is connected to the 2nd (orange) chakra which represents our emotional centre.

Also think of what your sister represents to you. What is your connection with her? is she a 'helper' in real life?

Hope this makes some sense to you.
