So, I've been having recurring dreams about drying up clothes on the string, in the terrace, especially. And twice I had dreamt that some clothes are hanging on the string outside the parapet wall and I'm cautious to reach out to them as I might slip and fall. And those clothes would be ones which don't have clips on them to prevent them flying away. I wanted to put clips on them, to make them safe, but couldn't do that, as they are far from my reach. Recently I saw a pair of washed white coloured towels and a pair of my washed panties that are out of my reach on the string. I see them dry and use a rod to safely lift and take them off the string.

What do these try to tell me? I'm a little bit more concerned as these are recurrent.

Hello Cathy Apologies for the delay.

The dream could suggest that some part or parts of yourself, your persona (laundry), have been put out in the open (clothes line) for all to see, causing you to feel insecure and unsure (might slip and fall/clothes not clipped). At the time of the dream, what was happening that could relate to this? Have any private or intimate issues (towels/panties) been exposed or "aired"?

Hi Ra
Thank you for your interpretation.
I'm not able to specifically think of an aspect that I'm trying to cover or insecure about. Can you think of any particular scenario where these objects will be applicable?
I actually got this dream the night before I had guests at home and what simply I coud think of is that I had to make few of my girly stuffs hidden from their obvious view Could it simply point to that? But the nature of the dream seems recurrent, I have been getting it 3-4 times in the past couple of months.

Hey Cathy,

Clothes to me mean identity. So it could basically be about putting a new identity/persona into the world. You are already showing these 'new', 'cleaned up' (washed and dried) parts of yourself to the world (on the line/everyone can see).
There also fits what Ra points out about 'feeling insecure and unsure', about this new portrayal of you into the world.
Try to remember what kind of clothes were hanging on the line without the clips. The kind of outfit will give you a clue. Some new identity which you want to completely integrate, but can't reach just yet.
Basically relating to a vision of your 'future self' if this description makes sense...
Underwear for me always comes up as exposure/very personal/private matters (I once had a dream where my underwear was exposed in an exhibition, lol). But I think it might refer to a 'fresh start' from the 'base'/closer to who you are in essence. Especially because of the white which often refers to purity and because underwear is the first thing we put on...

Hope this makes some sense and helps you a bit

Hi Twirl,
Thank you for your additional thoughts. The clothes which I saw were white towels which I use and 2 of my panties. I'm not able to think of any special change in my attitude that I'm embarrassed to show. I'm just trying to recollect something which has changed, but couldn't make out anything. May be some reflection time about what is happening inside of me would give me some light
Thank you so much once again Ra and Twirl

Hey Cathy

No that's not exactly what I mean... I meant the clothes on balcony (future), refer to a new portrayal you would like people to have. Basically in regards to their view of you. But leave the feeling 'embarrassed' out of this, because you put it out on the balcony: look at me! I Thought that might fit into all the changes you already made internally and with your new job as well.
Clothing/identity is out on the balcony for the world to see... (This clean and crisp approach). But the slippery path, tells me you haven't yet reached that point just yet or don't feel that all see this at this point. But the focus and empathising on it, is already there..
All for now Bye...

Hi Twirl,
Yes I get it now. With the new job! The slippery thing is very well related to a level of uncertainty that is associated with it as of now, something associated with the "new"ness. Thank you for the clarification
