I've been having dreams about zombies and them taking over the world just like in the movies and stuff and it's starting to freak me out. I'm TERRIFIED of the thought of zombies even remotely being real and I keep seeing commercials for movies including them. The fear is getting in the way of my day-to-day life now. Is it because if all the movies with in it?

Nightmares occur to point out something to you in real life which you have been ignoring 4 quite some time. The less you listen, the more graphic the images. Zombies make me think of 'being lived' (by others). So what parts in your life make you feel as if you are just stupidly doing what you have been told?
They take over the world. So it most likely relates to how you feel about your place in the world/society. Something inside you may feel 'deadened' and needs reviving. And/or you may fear you will have to act like the rest of society. Do you feel most of them live like 'zombies'?
That's most likely causing the fear. Try to see if you been taking enough time to care of yourself. What do you need to feel in touch again? To feel alive? Do you feed yourself enough with activities that are joyful, make you feel very alive and inspired? If you focus on making changes in your life that are forfilling 4 you, I expect the dreams (and fears attached to this) to stop.

Life in general make me feel like I'm just going with the flow. Yes, I do feel like everyone around me is a zombie. Especially the adults with 9-5 jobs. I feel like everyone wants me to go to college and be something that I don't want to be. I need to just "find" myself. I don't know how I am or where I'm going. Thank you so much for your insight. It gave me something to think about.
