I have lucid dreams a lot, I'm almost always aware when I'm dreaming and have been able to wake myself up from an unpleasant one since I was a little girl. Last night, before bed, I was reading about witchcraft, wiccan rituals etc. thinking it might be something I'd like to try. I had a dream last night that I was laying in bed, and I could hear awful demonic moaning, sounding distorted, getting louder and louder and I could not wake up. I was paralyzed. I could feel my eyes open, but I was still dreaming. When I finally woke up, everything looked exactly the same, I was laying the same way in my bed. What do you think this is? I've had demonic dreans before, but strangely not scary ones. Satan even talked to me in a dream once, but I wasn't afriad. In this dream last night, I was terrified. IP: Logged |

I'm sorry to hear you had such a scary dream. I normally look at dreams from a psychological viewpoint, so I'm not sure this offers you the insight you want. I do however want to advice you to not read those books before you are going to sleep for now. I had a few friends with similar experiences and altough my belief in regards to paganism etc. that it comes from a place of love&light, magic & rituals do also attract some lower entities (and/or when not ready for it at the very least can speak to our own deepest fears). When reading about it, it seems to 'open' that portal which can lead to experiences as you described. So my advice would be to use some sage to cleanse your space and aura & leave the books for when you feel more grounded. Then hopefully you will soon sleep much better. A small prayer can also help you to calm your mind. Perhaps someone else replies with some extra information on this. Bye IP: Logged |

Hello sativa I completely agree with Twirl. Part of what you experienced is called "sleep paralysis" and isn't terribly uncommon. It happens when your mind begins to awaken before your body. IP: Logged | |
