This was my dream a few days ago:

Then found an old uni friend(the nerdy but cute type), who did not recognize me, she was celebrating her bday (we're in august but her bday in november in real life), didn't recognize me at first, till i said my name, and then she lectured me about not being single, and the downside of being alone, and how i should so something about it....her talk got on my nerves to presume i am not looking for something i had really wanted.

looked back at the two cats sleeping on the street on a speed bump, and a black 4 wheel with black tinted windows came and drove right over one, splitting it in half. The itlaian speaking woman said something, about how horrible that is, but the driver may have not seen it....but i think he felt it. they didn't think about it(The Italian woman/Spanish speaking guy), after tsking and walked on. the other cat i didn't take another look at as its friend was dead.

now we were by the hotel door again, that girl whose birthday it is, went down a rabbit burrow as her direction was that way.

while i was waiting by the hotel door not feeling happy again, at how people jump to conlcusions once again, i was waiting for a bus, but the one was meant to take people very far away. i thought to myself "won't it be nice to live in that place, it makes no sense i stay here...but there are better locations"

next i am at home, i seem to have just finished taking a bath or something, and drying up.

next thing i was saying how some energy in the place is making me feel like floating, and surely enough in a bit i'm talking to a girl and i'm slightly floating, was resting a hand on bathroom cupoard but noticed there was no weight on it. next i floated all the way to one of the bedrooms in the house, and there were two children i didn't recognize, kind of reminded me of me and a sister when were were so little, but it wasn't us, i was happily floating and twirling and enjoying this sensation as it really felt liberating like i presume floating on air would be.

there was laughter and then one of the kids called my name and was telling that i was in the room flying, a panicked woman mentioned my name, I think this was my kind of step mum who has done more than enough damage irl life, by not thinking and being quite selfish and yet naive i must say, she also has a really 'strange' voice irl, like you can feel the upset stomach just upon hearing the way she speaks, like it's effect it the opposite of the sounds you hear on meditation and relaxation CD's..... and though i didn' want to stop floating....but thinking about that ladies nervousness, next thing made me get down to the bed. and i wasn't flying.

The white duck was still in my room.

i think this is all what happened and then i woke up.

Can anyone offer any insights on what's going on with all these animals and humans?!?

So this might be part of the other topic you dreamt about.

Hotel is a temporary residence. Transition phase.

The learning of languages. What don't you understand, what 'language' do you need to speak? Might refer to misinterpretations/ misunderstandings.

It's late at night. Dark. Something you are not completely aware of. There are many other people in your dream. Possibly in relation to you versus group/collective/society. Also the issue of being single is being addressed.

All animals represent our instincts.
Cats depend highly on how you see them. Are yet representative of the female powers/feeling feminine? Or do they refer to independence? How do you see cats?

Especially the duck seems to be of importance. It's in your room. Might be you are "ducking away"/not facing something. Especially in regards to the flying later (not grounded - even though it's a nice distractions from possible issues). Ducks dont usually fly much... How do you see ducks?

A cat being split in half (what's happening with feeling feminine?). Who drove over that? (When growing older)

The old Uni friend didn't regocnise you. What happened? She is here to help. Old part/shadow part.
What did you lose along the way?

What's a rabbit burrow? Under the ground?

The kids pointing out to something you lost.

Have you not been thinking? Where have you been naive (step mom). Is it time to stop floating?

Just some thoughts. There's much more to it.
Bottom line though: miscommunication/feeling misunderstood/possibly trying to get back in touch with old parts of yourself you lost (I'm guessing in relation to feeling feminine (think about the cat). Also possibly not facing these issues.
The duck will give you more insight.

yes i've been getting that a lot of lately, that i'm misunderstanding something. but hard to understand when no one is communicating....so spot on again.

yip i liked that girl. what happened is i'm no longer who i used to be. i used to enjoy my looks, now even though knock on wood, i still get a lot of attention, i find something so stupid about the whole 'look at me i'm so pretty' kind of thing...but could have enjoyed that phase before i concluded that longer, if not for 'other people'. so i guess the cats are feminity...hmm!!!

I like this part, as floating on air not water seems to link the two. Though worried later in this link where it later says white duck shows deceit

However, young lady (this is the sign of me getting strict ), let's not forget the context of your dream...
Cats split in half, feeling unhappy, people jumping in rabbit holes

I'm not surprised you like those descriptions most (floating in room). But it doesn't speak of spiritual freedom to me...

Ducks to me are loud/noisy creatures, "quacking away", living in groups & following along, tame (kept in parks a lot), they have group spirit, act not so clever at times...
They float on the water. Never really going under the surface of the water... Investigating the depths of their emotions... Also the white referring to innocence (or perhaps being a bit ignorant...naive) here.
Luckily you are "coming down" on your bed.... Some things are sinking in.

The rabbit hole represent the subconscious. The girl gave you some insight there, but quickly dissapears in the unseen.

"Wouldn't it be nice to live far away where that bus takes you?" In other words: wouldn't it be great not to address all these issues. Wouldn't it be nice to keep floating? To keep myself ignorant?

no i know it is a 'warning' dream more than anything, sliced cut, duck talking about deceit and going into the ground after a messge.... but...ahem....a girl can dream (pun not really intended but will pretend it is)
