Hi All

Am abroad right now for work so slightly jetlagged,

I just woke from a dream where I was in a brown and yellow tinged apartment, there was a brown door where a parcel had been put through. It was addressed to someone else, not me. I opened it by mistake and found a letter inside from the persons absent father with a note and a reciept or ticket stub taped to the note. It detailed 5 memories the dad had of his child, and what he had kept constant in his mind over the time he had been apart from his child.

I dont remember the rest of the dream but woke up with a sense of longing.

To give context, I had had a conversation earlier in the evening with someone who told me I pick bad guys and need to go and not be so picky *telling a venus/mars libra in 7th/9th houses not to be picky is ironic! ...

Perhaps part of me wishes to resolve the abandonment issues??The colours in the dream were also murky, the yellow was not that golden.

Sad sparkling

I definitely think this is in regards to the conversation you had last night. It must have gotten you thinking & it is indeed about the 'male image' you have. However 'common' that may sound, the connection with the father often reflects back on the relationships we have with a partner.
You are in an apartment, so this is about the self (and self reflecting). The murky colours & the brown here reflects being a bit depressed about this situation. It feels empty, disconnected, lack. The (gold) shine to connect with someone is lacking/missing. Yellow is connected to the third chakra where we feel personal power & to connect openly & enthusiasticly with others. There's a deep sense to 'connect' (letter) with that part of yourself. Besides that it's also giving you insights about the self (letter as a 'message').
How is your contact with your dad irl?
Father in the dream can refer to that actual father figure (and thus the experiences in life).
Can you remember more details? Was it light in the apartment? How did you move? How did you feel?
Hope this resonated so far.
If you had actual father issues irl, I can give you an exercise to work with this dream. You can then send me an e-mail at moonhousetarot@gmail.com

Hi Twirl

Apologies for delay, just got back from overseas trip. I resonate with your interpretation of the dream....there is a deep desire I think for me to resolve the issues from my family. The apartment was dark but with light from lamps (creating yellow tinge),I felt depressed in the dream.

Letter is indeed communication with myself I think,

Hi Enigma...

It has been 20 years now, he left when I was 10.

Sad times when parents abandon either emotionally or physically.

Since he left, it has been my mother who has done most damage...

Twirl (and others)

I remember a dream I had many years ago when I was 11 or 12. I have not forgotten it as pops into my mind every few years. During my parents divorce, I dreamed of my dad. I was in a dark place, holding hands with people , there was a spiral metal (black colour) staircase in the centre of a room, there was a light (like angelic light) on the staircase, my dad was coming down the stairs from above, BUT I heard him coming before he did. He was not a man, but half man and half woman so what I heard was the click clack of the high heels he was wearing, so the sound was terrifying. He did not appear, just the sound of him coming did.

As a 29 year old now, I somehow think the dream was about my parents and both sides of them (male and female) and the fear of the pain caused by the divorce. It is a dream that has haunted me for many years, the light/shadows, the sound of the heels on the metal stairs and the fear...
