Topic: Young woman that turns into a demon

Okay, I had the creepiest dream last night. I'm usually not freaked out by my dreams and it's been years since I last had a nightmare, but this one was - seriously upsetting. I don't remember much of what was going on before the "main" event, but I guess I was dreaming of chatting to this young woman. Suddenly she grips both my arms, near my wrists, and tells me "I'm a demon" while turning (?) into what was, I can only assume, her true form. Everything around us got really dark while her face was illuminated. It was white, like white-pownder white. Her eyes turned eletric blue, and had a kind of glow to it (I think her eyes were dark before, because they were the first change I noticed before she grabbed my arms). Her hair was flipping, as if a strong wind was blowing it, but of course there was no wind. It was a light brown, dark blond color, too. It also felt like she was hovering (?) over me and getting close to my face from a position above my height. It was at this point I woke up. I would've dismissed it, if it weren't for the way my heart was racing and a voice telling to not open my eyes. And I felt like a ghost-grip on my arms (for some reason, I was laying on my side with them in prayer position, which never happens as I always sleep on my stomach). Congratulations!
You have just encountered your shadow self in a dream. The Shadow Self is where we 'hide' all & everything we don't really like to face about herself & apparently she wants out! Or in other words: to be recognised.
The more you acknowledge things about yourself that aren't pleasant, the less chance the nightmare comes back ina great intensity.
All the wind tells me that there are quite some stormy thoughts going round in your head. What has been keeping your mind so busy lately?
It's ghost like because you are unaware. The strength you feel, is the strength this shadow part carries. The energy of our shadows are very powerful. If recognised you can work with this strength. If surpressed it still has a huge impact, yet we are unaware of it.
Can you remember where you were? Or any details of the surroundings?

Twirl, Twirl... you just startled me something bad with that congratulations, woman! I literally jumped when I read it, I'm so shaken by this dream, hahaha.I guess it makes sense "she" wants to come out... I've been supressing a passion of mine for years now and recently went back to it. I also just made peace with the fact that I'm ok being single. And I've been trying to delve deep into the psychology of my natal chart and work at what I find. Let me see what I can remember...
I remember thinking she was really pretty.
I remember being shock her eyes and hair were changing colors, so you can say they were initially the same color as mine - dark brown (hair and eyes).
I don't think we were in a specific place... I have one fuzzy image of it that I don't know if it's a fabrication of my mind or if it's really a memory... It was like a clearing in forest, there was this really dark green foliage behind her head. I don't remember sound, but I remember it wasn't either cold nor hot, it was a very pleasing temperature... There was sunlight, but like it was mid-afternoon... Don't know if this is important but she was wearing a white dress, in a romantic cute. Can't seem to remember if it had sleeves or not. I think it was made out of cotton? IP: Logged |

Lol, sorry for the startling.
I'll have a look later, but I do think all the digging in your chart & going deep into those old patterns did make this come up. So in a way that's really good, because it's normally pretty well hidden. If you recognise it, you can start working on changes.
I can imagine these dreams really scare the life out of you by the way.
The forest is also the area of all things hidden, but also often the beginning of a 'magical' path.
Especially if she was wearing that romantic dress than I would say the search of romance is also related to it.
Possibly best to look back at your younger years (just look at how old you think this dream self is) & that's where these images of love possibly started (and you are still carrying them with you now). Edit: ohhhh, is that passion the writing you wrote about??
That's excellent for even digging deeper. :-) Edit part 2: I really think this is the classic, 'you have to be a good girl & all good will come to you-pattern.. Especially since she looked all pretty & cute. And that image may have very well turned into a 'demon', because it didn't do what everyone promised & you are still single. Nice girls often don't go anywhere until they will start speaking their mind & doing what feels right for them.

Hmm. This girl looked like a 17 year old, which was my second sweetheart (if you count the types of courting a 12-15 year old does, without kissing and whatnot) but also the first time that I fell for someone that wasn't reciprocated.I've actually been playing around with the idea of doing a fairy-tale type of story about the men in my life, changing their age and when I met them, but keeping their names and the most important situations I encountered with them. I mean, writing from my perspective, the things that went on in my head and what I kept out of their sight and ears. Funnily enough, I was going on the medieval era for its timeline, and I had the idea of a first meeting scene with one of them in a forest. I've been procrastinating on starting it because it still feels private and uncomfortable, even though no one is going to read it... (Seriously, subconscious, you needed to use it to scare me into writing it?) quote:

Okay, I think I figured what triggered it!! I posted on facebook an opinion of mine about a singer that is thought of derisively by some just because she sings of women taking control, of doing what they want, etc etc. I called it modern feminism. A month ago, I would never do such a thing, too afraid of what people would think of me or say. As I've got deeper into this, I've been thinking "you know what, I have to say what's on my mind".Anyhow, I still think my shadow self did not need to try to suck my soul like a Dementor would. That's fantastic!
Fairytales are very archetypal & I think it will give you a lot of insight 
Blue is the 3rd chakra=expression.
The fear in the dream of course isn't good. Nightmares only occur if something has surpressed for long, but working with it will make if better & help you to work with the shadow.
May I recommend reading the book Women who run with wolves? This will give you more insight in your psyche & collective (female) patterns. IP: Logged |
