Hi there, I hope everyone is doing extremely well.

I haven't posted on here in quite sometime. A little back ground my ex and I broke up a long time ago and I have been over him and trying to find a new relationship for quite sometime and recently I just started to develop feelings for a new guy, who has similar interests to me.

Now for the dream. Somehow I ended up in the streets of New Orleans and was walking around with my dog when I came along to this restaurant that I always had wanted to try along the line up was long but I heard it was well worth it. So, I dropped my dog off, almost like a coat check and proceed to walk to end of the line, which took for ever, all the while I was talking to people I just met about how great the food was and how much we were looking forward to it. The set up of the restaurant seemed to almost remind me of a casino or a club with people everywhere. While I was waiting in line, in the distance I saw my ex walking in the direction of the location of where I was. I didn't think he saw me and then I was wondering if he would talk with me if he noticed me. As he got closer, I noticed he was wearing the shirt that I always liked best on him and I thought he looked amazing he made eye contact and started to walk towards me. Just as I was about to say hello, he spoke and said "Come with me", he turned to walk away and I didn't say anything but just followed. As I was starting to worry about picking up my dog because I didn't know where I was going with him, I woke up.

I'm not quite sure what this dream means, but I'm wondering if my sub-conscience is just testing me because I have gotten over him. Any help about what this could mean would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks muchly in advance!

Hello itsy

Apologies. I've been a bit preoccupied. I'll give you some thoughts as soon as I can.

This dream reflects a new choice (new restaurant) regarding your social life (restaurant/people everywhere) that you have been waiting a long time for (long line) and are excited about (looking forward to the great food). Of course, all of this has to do with your feelings for this new guy. It is completely normal for your ex to make an appearance. Your subconscious is drawing comparisons, for better or worse, with your past ex-perience. Your dog is a reminder of what you are looking for - fidelity, loyalty, unconditional love - which you will not leave behind.

Make sense? What do you think?

Hi Ra,

That is a great interpretation and I think it sounds about right. I have been waiting for a long time for a relationship and I want someone loyal with unconditional love. I think your interpretation is just beautiful and fingers crossed that real life will be just as beautiful!!
