Hi guys, this is a dream pattern that has been happening for years, and I wonder if anyone can give some toughts about its meaning?

Sometimes, I would dream of being chased by certain enemies. In these dreams, the enemy or enemies would follow me, try to get me, and they always knew where I was.
I would try to run away, thought I was not afraid. And then somehow, I would start to wish that we could make peace instead of being hated. And then somehow, in the end, these enemies would actually make peace with me, developing even endearing feelings towards each other, as if we became friends or made peace.

I think the meaning of these dreams should be quite obvious. I think they keep recurring because you need to improve your ability to access other people's perspectives. The fact that you are hiding but that they always know where you are should indicate that they recognize themselves in you, but you refuse to acknowledge these characteristics/similarities in yourself. They know exactly where you are because the one you are truly hiding from is not them, but yourself. It is creating animosity between you. I think the dream indicate that you should work on understanding these people's perspectives. It doesn't mean that you have to agree with who they are or what they do, but you should come to an understanding at the very least of why they ended up as they did and that in different circumstances (aka "in their shoes") you could have been them. This realization should give you peace.

Anyway I found this lovely poem a while back, and thought I would share it with you;

"Could we but draw back the curtain
That surrounds each others lives
See the naked heart and spirit
Know what spur the action gives
Often we would find it better,
Purer, than we think we would

If we only understood"

Thank you for the analysis. Actually I have something else in mind, your analysis makes sense but I feel that this dream might also be related to my inner need to be liked.
