Dream: Me and this guy lived across from each other in our own apartments but never spoke. One night we are both walking up the stairs to our apartment (he's behind me). I remember having a green folder, a laptop, and something else in my hand. He had a black shirt on, jeans, and a simple black backpack. When we both get to our doors, I realize I'd forgotten my keys all the way back downstairs. When I turned around to get them he was there holding them up to me and said "You forgot these." Gave me the keys, and went inside his own apartment and me in mine. In the dream I was shocked and I remember feeling like I didn't know I even existed to him 'til that moment (also in the dream I didn't have any type of feelings towards him either, other than that.)

Things I think are telling in this dream is how I'm carrying my things, my "stuff" in the open, and his is inside, safe in a backpack. I'm thinking it's a representation of feelings or thoughts? And how he's dressed in black and I wasn't. The whole "key" thing freaks me out. I read up on key meanings and it talks about representing authority or power, but he gave me the keys and didn't withhold them…

You know it just dawned on me the significance of giving me keys to MY apartment. Kind of like he's teaching me about myself, or I can learn about myself through him. Maybe learn how to organize my emotions better, my feelings. Keep them hidden. Learning = the school stuff.

The dream stuck out to me because of the surprised feeling I got from it. It was like "OH, I get it now!" And then guilt that I hadn't realized it before. "DREAM" Me thought he was really sweet for having my keys already, and the fact he was behind me - could that represent support, black meaning it's hidden? Like he supports me but doesn't show it which would also justify the backpack in a way.

Hi Ra,

Just saw this. No contact is not out of the question. Actually, I did contact him and it ended up drawing out a needed apology. It helped but not quite enough. :/
