So last night I had another dream about my ex. I can't remember much, but all I can remember is I met his wife and our exchanges were pretty calm, she was dark skinned and looked oddly familiar, like that feeling I met her somewhere before. Then I met his son who looked like my the son of my recent ex. There were alot of shades of dark blue in the dream as well. As for my ex, he kept talking to me and held my hand at one point. I woke up with a weirdest feeling, but not in a bad way.

What does this mean???

It may indicate a release from the karmic relationship you have with your ex. Have you actually met his wife in real life and does she look like the one in your dream? Otherwise she could be a mirror of yourself - the light and dark aspects of you. Dark blue colour represents wisdom, understanding and forgiveness. Anyway, you seem to have made peace with the past and untangled yourself from the karmic ties. So all's good.

Dark blues in this context often relate to "bluer" emotions, such as sadness. Do you feel sadness when you think about this ex? Are there regrets? If no … are you sure?

you assumptions could be right. but I feel like I have been painfully mourning the relationship and I am/have been struggling to move on. it's been 5 years since the split and I am more than ready to move on with my life. it is indeed the hardest thing i've had to endure so far in my life.

I feel immense sadness when I think about my former and what could have been. Like I mentioned to seekinglight, I've struggled to move on and to even keep someone in my life, it's been five years and I am tired of it, tired of it. I just want to move on and be happy, just as much as he is. I hope the happiness and peace I seek will come to me soon.

They will if you will it. Just a little more time, a little more healing, a little more action.

As seekinglight suggested, the dream does have a certain feeling of release. It may only be in the beginning stages, but it feels like that energy is there. You will likely dream more of him, and I would be interested in observing the evolution of this situation as reflected in the dreams. Can you keep us posted?
