Hi allI slept just now for 12 hours straight! I don't usually sleep this late. I had a dream about a guy I know through my work ( we see each other in other countries). I don't know him well. He appeared in my dream! We were in a European country, in a hotel and a school hall. He and I were sitting next to one another, I had many bags with me. He and I were chatting about something and he and I were going to get a train later. We ended up going to a restaurant to have a drink. A girl had told us of a place to go to. At the restaurant he and I are sitting side by side arguing a little, he places his hand on my hair and head. It felt intimate. The girl appears again trying to trick us into doing something for her. We are warned of this by a man on a table behind us. We were at a table sitting next to the beginning of a stone bridge that connected the town to another part of the town. The bridge was solid, made of stone, you could walk across it. Our table was facing the bridge. Themes: connecting (bridge), possessions (all my baggage! emotional?), the guy - a guy who I would like to be with? attracted to? Threat and danger - with person trying to trick us. The intimacy of the guy touching my head and hair. It was a confused dream but I did feel a connectedness to the guy I know in the dream. The colours were white and yellow. Sparkling IP: Logged |

Hi Ra Would love to discuss the dream a little further! What I think stands out is the bridge to the other part of town. The baggage is a recurrent theme too. The guy is perhaps a mirror of what I would like in a partner. The ideal perhaps? I seem to be craving intimacy, but fear of being tricked? there was a threat present in the dream too. What are your thoughts Ra? I haven't considered the colours yet. Sparkling IP: Logged |

Some kind of random thoughts … Is this all about your desire for intimacy? The dream could be about a period of change/transition (hotel/bridge) and learning (school) in your life. The threat could be the possibility of tricking or fooling yourself into believing that you can continue to carry around this emotional baggage and expect something truly new (white?) to emerge, perhaps. Are you on the right track, or are you headed towards a rigid, unmoving path, an old pattern (train)? What part does your baggage play in this? What was the other part of town like? Was it a better place? Different? Unknown? What was your feeling about it, if any? Are you ready to cross that bridge? There is no context for the colours white and yellow, so I'm not sure about that. IP: Logged |

Hi Ra, some interesting thoughts! The other part of the town was indeed a "better" part of town, it seemed like in those fairy stories when there is a journey to their final destination. I wanted to cross the bridge. I think the guy in the dream represented desire and intimacy indeed. The baggage in the dream wasn't there when I was at the table facing the bridge. There is something about letting go in order to move forward. I had a dream this morning that also involved travelling and journeys. I was leaving the country for good, and was waiting to get my plane at midnight. Before I left I met a friend and we had coffee at a café and she gave me 20p to buy something in the shop next door. I found a book, entitled "travel" and I opened the page and found an inscription to me. It stated my name and a message (I can't remember what the message said). I then remembered whilst I had packed, I had forgotten to get rid of all my furniture (again possessions!) so I was worrying how to solve that issue. I feel in RL, I am working through something significant, untying the knots of emotional burdens and "baggage". Breaking free....or attempting to. Sparkling IP: Logged |

"There is something about letting go in order to move forward."Yes, I believe that is the gist of the dream, as well as of the most recent dream. It looks like you are mentally ready to move on (leave country for good), to meet the end of your present cycle/circumstance (midnight), but there are familiar, familial, emotional energies (furniture) that you are still working out (worrying how to solve that issue). The "Travel" book seems to indicate that you are ready to open another chapter in your life, one that is for you, that doesn't rely on old stuff or other people (inscription/name and message). It would certainly be interesting to know what that message was! If you could guess what the message said, what would it be? Any feeling about it?

Hi RaLove how you summed up key themes! Indeed, mentally getting ready. The inscription, it was important, I imagine it said be brave and go for it! Encouraging and supportive. The cover of the travel book was blue (sky) with big words TRAVEL in white. It looked like an inviting book. I still have to work through the emotional energies....hopefully getting there... Thanks as always for your insights Sparkling IP: Logged |

Ra -Am update, I did some clearing out of actual possessions I no longer need/use. I also went through a box of letters that I have had since I was 15 (am now 30). I burned those that were painful memories (I read them, and then released them). I feel a sense of relief...and freedom. I no longer need to carry those energies. The dreams enabled me to reach this point. Sparkling IP: Logged |
