He told me that the old god mercury was dead. The irony was that I think he was mercury as he was delivering a message and almost god-like himself.

He also told me that Tim Duncan was a frequent visitor and the two had a repertoire.
We continued to traverse the swamps heading towards his domicile. I wondered if he feared the crocodiles in the river but he did not fear them.

We moved up a narrow way towards his domicile and crashed into a bump in the shallow of the narrow canal. He put on a jet pack and flew around reaching into the water and pulling out a baby crocodile. He told me the foolish crock causes trillions of dollars of biological damage when he fails to reproduce. He showed me how the crocodile foolishly lead his eggs into a hostile spot where the baby crocodiles withered and died as soon as they hatched.

Then we reached his humble abode. I say humble because it was simply a place with a couch and some books and some mystical items scattered about.

We sat on the couch and I felt the presence of every blue-collar worker from every culture in the world. He was highly respected for someone rooted in the educational system because he had his hands fully immersed in the culture.

Then before me were all the prepared minds of the world arranged like beads. The message was clear. A smart person can do well. A genius can do well. But a common man with a prepared mind will always surpass an unprepared genius.

The message was of the significance of studying and the important of carving canals of knowledge through the brain and having faith in the process.

These messages were transmitted in my dream. Perhaps it was all just fible-biddle.

What do you think?

I woke up with a renewed zest to achieve. The irony is mercury felt quite alive in this dream.

Perhaps the crocodile who lead her eggs in the wrong place is a symbol to knowledge lost as it has no application.

Very interesting dream! Not fible-biddle at all.

Whether this man is a guide (kinda has that feeling) or an aspect of your higher self, he is certainly relaying a message, and you seem to understand it pretty well. This dream is related to the others you have recently posted.

Part of your mind exists in a fantasy world, and this is holding your progress back. You are more advanced and intelligent than you give yourself credit for. You do not have to be a god, a superhero, or part of the popular crowd to be successful. You need only be yourself - humble, thoughtful, and in touch with your inner self, unconcerned with others' expectations, un-tethered from concerns about how others see you. Release the need/desire for outside validation. But you need a plan.

The man in your dream is telling you that you are the crocodile, laying eggs in places where they will wither, doomed to fail. No, you do not have to be a genius, or extraordinary, but you do need to be properly prepared. "Lay" your "eggs" in the proper place, at the proper time, and they will successfully "hatch" and thrive.

Do not over think the situation you are in or your future plans (Mercury is dead). Trust your instincts (crocodile). Release your old, lofty ideals and patterns of thought (old god Mercury is dead), come "down to earth", and refocus your energies on more fertile ground. This is where you will find Mercury's message to be quite alive.
