I had a nightmare about this house in my dream (not the one I live in), where I was complaining to my dad about living in there because it was out in the woods. My mom kept trying to convince my dad to stay because she was trying to keep me from going out all the time. It was dark and the inside of the house was dark, too. It was a small house, which I doubt could barely house a family of five. Then it got darker and darker and I woke up. But when I was waking up, I felt a numbness in my body I couldn't describe. I ignored it and tried to fall back asleep again thinking about the house in my dream and I was still kinda feeling paralyzed. Then when I was asleep, I suddenly felt number and number and I started hearing screeching noises. It scared me, so I tried to wake up. It took me about a few minutes to do so because it felt like something was pulling me away from my body. I woke up still feeling a bit numb, but I fought it, got up, and said the angel's prayer. It was really scary. I don't understand what it means. I need some help. I don't want it to happen again. IP: Logged |

Nightmares just try to show us something. They don't have to be feared.IP: Logged |

Hello Solar Leo Queen The dream is a reflection of how you are feeling about the way your parents are treating you. You feel like they are trying to isolate you, suppress you, and keep you down. But this is your perspective and I'm sure their perspective is different. They are probably just trying to protect you because they love you. The dream you had is likely unrelated to the experience of being paralyzed and numb that followed. That is experience is called sleep paralysis. When we fall asleep the body "paralyzes", which keeps us from acting out our dreams. The mind and body then awaken together, but sometimes the mind wakes up first and the body remains paralyzed and numb for a short time. This scares the heck out of many people. But things can get really weird when the mind is only partially awake, aware of the paralyzed body but still partially in the dream world, floating between consciousness and unconsciousness. We will hear voices, noises, see apparitions, and experience all kinds of strange things and sensations, including going out of the body. This can be an unsettling, scary experience, but really there is nothing to fear. I think this is what happened to you. Make sense? IP: Logged |

Thanks so much for the clarification. This isn't the first time I experienced sleep paralysis. It's really scary. But maybe I got nothing to worry about just like you said.IP: Logged |

^ well in some occasions, I do feel the isolation. but at that time, I know I was okay with my parents before having the dream.IP: Logged |
