Hi Ra and everybody.

Ra I said I would keep praying and let you know if I had any relevant dreams.I think the dream I had last night was very interesting.
I'll start explaining about the family of cannibals first.I remember that part of the dream was like I was a scene from a movie or from tv. The family actually reminded me of a family from a soap. The family from the soap were like a gang of dysfunctional but likeable rogues. However this family was much darker than the ones from the soap. They where hardened criminals.I think they may have broke every rule in the book.I do remember a woman who questioned and challenged them about their immoral antics. She spoke to one of the women of the clan.I think she asked her if things had really gotten this bad and she looked at pot which I had a strong feeling contained human remains. It seemed very surreal I think she knew what was happening but she couldn't cope with the reality of it she couldn't believe it was happening.I feel like the family devoured their victims, enemies and any one who got in their way. They were like a pack of feral animals. They had no sentiment and would probably turn on each other if it came down to it.I think they believed in survival of the fittest. They were very opportunistic.I believe one of the many reasons they ate people was because they wanted to get as much use out everyone as they could.I also feel they wanted to completely consume the people because they were so insane with rage and feelings of being scorned and they were being consumed by their desire for revenge.

The themes of family, hierarchy, self versus the group, and cannibalism were relevant but I will now move on to the positive part of the dream.I saw a caterpillar which crawled onto me and reared up as if to acknowledge me.It was a pinkish or reddish colour.I felt glad because I read caterpillars symbolise preparing for the beginning of change and transformation which makes sense since they go through a metamorphosis and become a butterfly.
The caterpillar just seems to be reinforcing the idea that change is taking place in my life. A while ago I tried an exercise which was supposed to show a person their spirit animal.I think it may have actually worked.I saw a Cobra.Snakes as you probably already know get associated with knowledge, healing, death, rebirth and transformation. There have been other dreams about which I've already talked about here. One was about a skull flashing in my bathroom mirror. The other one was was when I went to the bathroom and interpreted it as expelling or giving birth to tadpoles.Tadpoles like the caterpillar and snakes get associated with transformation. Thanks

Hello Panthera Leo

You are right about the caterpillar. It is another symbol of transformation which, it seems, you are on the verge of. The pinkish/reddish color could be associated with feminine energies, perhaps changing/maturing or intensifying, but I'm not sure. It is a nice contrast to the energies of the cannibal dream.

The cannibal dream is a reflection of the lower, darker emotional energies you fear could devour you. The "woman who questioned" represents that maturing aspect of self which is beginning to confront/challenge these darker energies within yourself.

Perhaps the woman and the caterpillar are symbolically related.

A relevant dream, indeed.

Thanks Ra

Edit

I hope the colours of the caterpillar were meant to be a good omen. With any luck and a lot of effort and a concious desire to change I can become a very loving and strong person.
I had a basic Idea about the psychological meanings of the colour red. When I read about the psychological meanings of the colour pink
the descriptions seemed to match with my train of thought about the colour pink.
I also wondered if its a good thing or not
that the caterpillar was a reddish colour since red can represent anger and danger.
Another thing I thought was that sometimes certain creatures are brightly coloured in order to let other creatures know to leave them alone or that they are poisonous.

I get the feeling we should focus on the positive aspects of the color red when it comes to the caterpillar. Think positive!
