I have only the basic memory of that, though there was more to the dream, cubicles for one thing.

There was this Huge set of matching ice chests, many assorted different sizes.

They were all hosed out, and turned upside-down (on the dock? maybe) to dry.

Not sure if it was a dock, it had cubicles of one sort or another.

This was a week or so ago, this is what remains.

Ellyn

Only read it as an opionion please:
Something about you needs to change upside-down, but it is frozen. Maybe the situation that brought this dream back into your mind is a hint?

No, I would think Voyage Over.

Hosed out that nasty stink.

But that's just me.

I'm no expert.

Can't think why anyone would need that many ice chests.

There were a Lot.

And they all matched, all part of the same set.

Had to be an Ocean Voyage.

Of course I am thinking rationally.

And it wasn't me.

I think I was walking by or observing.

I am not an expert. It is only an opinion. Maybe another opinion will help you to find an solution.

Appreciate the response, GK.

I think it's just the thought that brings it back. Why would anybody need That many ice chests?

Sheesh.

Just wondering, but why would one need even one ice chest? What do you think?

And what kind of chests are these? Male? Female? both? And when you say they are matching, do you mean they have the same shape?

Another question: When you wrote "Voyage Over", did you refer to some kind of ending? Something you can relate to?

I once spent a Summer living on a twenty-five footer, and when some of my friends came back from their Sea-going Voyages, I can vaguely recall huge ice chests.

That was the Association I made.

I didn't know there are actually such things as ice chests. I thought it was more of a symbol of a dream. Perhaps my English is the problem.

Oh, not a problem, Ayelet.

You revived memories of my first time out on the Ocean.

That can't be bad.

(Singing "Dreamboat Annie" on the bow, while the Killer Whales swam under and about...)

Think of them every time I see the Orca sticker on the bottom of my Lighthouse cup too.

What I first notice about this dream is an alchemical/psychological relationship, but I'm thinking this may be my own projection and it may be better to start with a more traditional approach. My thoughts are a bit scattered, so bear with me as I try to explain them.

The idea of a voyage, a ship on the sea, symbolizes a journey across the unconscious, which carries the meaning of transformation. Taken with the empty, cleaned out chests and the dock, this appears to be a transformation in the stages of completion (and therefore, a new beginning?).

The dream could represent the release (open chests) and cleansing of (hosed out) emotional energies (implied ice). The red and white could be an indication of the range of emotions/energies contained and released (red=intense)(white=cold) and/or the transformative energies involved (red=fire=transformation)(white=purification).

The number and sizes of the chests could be symbolic of the many times you have been able to release particular energies/issues and the varying degrees of the individual issues. Cubicles can symbolize compartmentalized/partitioned, separate energies that are part of a larger whole, such as mental/emotional energies/issues within the psyche.

Now that I've written out some of the more "traditional" thought, I can see that the possible alchemical symbology mirrors it.

In a simple, four stage representation of the alchemical process, white is the third stage in the process of transformation, characterized by new understanding. Red is the fourth and final stage (as well as gold), representing a new awareness governed by the higher self, or enlightenment/self-completion. A cube (chests/cubicles) is a three dimensional representation of a four sided object. Three is a number of change, and four is a number of foundation/completion. When three and four appear together like this it can be an indication of change, transformation, and the nearing completion of an inner work.

For such a short dream there is a lot of depth and interconnectivity. Do you feel this transformative energy in your life right now? Are you ending a growth cycle? Are you in the process of completing an inner work?

Walk in Peace
