Any dreams to share? How successful are you at remembering what you read or do you try to just distill the meaning of the sentence(s) whilst in the dream?

I had one where there was just a white computer page with black printed sentences written on it, 3 sentences and the page was just hanging in front of me for the longest time. That was the whole dream, just looking at a page hanging in front of me. So in the dream I was concentrating and reading it over and over cos I wanted to remember it for when i woke up even tho my mind was trying to find the meaning in the words. Then when I woke up I only remembered the middle sentence. And I was so mad that I couldn't remember the whole thing that I lost the middle sentence a few minutes later because it only meant something in the context of the other sentences.

Sooo frustrating!

How many lines or words are you able to recall?

Then after that about a week later I had another dream where I saw a group of 4 short sentences and questions, written in a column aligned together. But I guess my brain was trying to play a joke on me cos there was a red ball and every time the ball dropped there'd be a new set of short sentences/questions in a column. First I was trying to read it, then I just plain gave up! Not cool, I'm telling myself lol. Not cool at all! I could even hear the time ticking away, tick tock, before the ball dropped.

So,
Better to remember for later or try to decipher the meaning of the words within the dream?

I'm just gonna try the latter option next time and see what results I get. Maybe ill remember the basic meaning. Frustrating because I wanted to analyze the words for later while I was awake.

And what words or sentences did you see, were they meaningful at all? I remember when I was younger I heard someone's name (first and last) in my dream but never met or heard of anyone with that name. Not that meaningful I guess :/

All the time! I wonder if it really makes sense or only does in my dreams.

I have occasional text come up in my dreams in this form, all of a sudden the wall or air light up this way when a word appears.

It could be phrases or peoples names that I have never heard of before.

Hi !

Don't worry, those dreams are very common, I bet that you'll be able to remember more clearly as time goes by - Driking some Green Tea about one and half hour before going to sleep may help to be more "relaxed".

I've been having this kind of dreams since I was 15 so, at this rate I'd say I'm somehow "conscient" while dreaming. So I can remember easier.

Ok
1. a month ago I had a very strange dream, in this dream I was walking in the middle of a desert, it was afternoon. Soon I realized that it was a graveyard or kind of...
In this dream I knew many people died there, I could see rusted poles and some axes covered with dust, all of them old and rusted. Then I turned around and saw a pile of white stones, in the top of the stones, there was a very white rock, the word Ἀθη was written on it. I woke up.

As you may know, those are letters from the Greek alphabet. Letters that have NO meaning.

So, it's no use to remember... well, at least for my case.

===================
2. Another dream that I had.
I was in a classy white room, I was alone with one dog.
But it was a rotten mummy dog that was alive?? This dog was walking from the right side to the left side of the room and viceversa. Always looking at me.

On the bandages that covered its body, it was written something like:

theoεp

I had this dream 4 years ago.

=======================
When I was 15 I used to dream about seeing extremely pale old people.
With some letters written in their foreheads.

The only letters I can remember are.

λ

ς

λὰς

Greek alphabet again, meaning??
Who knows.

I know it's annoying, but I'd say it's pretty normal, many people on LL have this kind of dream. And I have a personal theory abou this

-Hope this helps
Good Day

If I am able to remember any text I have seen or read while dreaming, it is usually only a word or two. Yeah, it can be frustrating.
