Ok my deceased mom laid out at the funeral home
She is wearing a red checked dress (not what she was buried in)
There are just the two of us that cared for her onto her death.
She had had disfiguring arthritis in life that had disfigured her hands and in the dream her hands were the same.
Her legs had been straight but in the dream they were twisted and bent.
A man came in and spoke of what a good man my
Father had been and told my friend she would have been glad to know him. (In real life hev is deceased as well and had been well thought of.)

Hello. I think your mom's legs were bent as well in the dream as it magnifies her illness. Have your dad took care of her while living? Do you appreciate him for doing so?

My Dad passed first. It was odd she was in a different dress and her legs like that and then the compliment about my dad...
I was thinking maybe she had been struggling to get in a different position? or maybe was all akimbo as part of her after life healing process?

Hello tuxedo,
I strongly believe our deceased loved ones come into our dreams to express certaib concerns. When I was reading ur post and the description of ur dream, it came strongly to me that this could possibly mean 1. Your mom is holding onto her previous life here, I think she wants u to go visit her often. 2. There is also a chance that she may be positioned in an awkward way when they lowered her casket?

I dont know why but the name christina or rina or reena keeps appearing in my head...anyway, I hope she will rest in peace.

I think my mom may be trying to hold onto some control or aspects of her life here. My daughter had/has some visitations from her while visiting here.
Yes, she has received few visitors to her burial place....
I was thinking it might be showing a bit of a struggle on her end to try to "come back" or affect our lives now before she goes through the healing stone process. Her hands and arms remained as they were-terribly misfigured and useless which shows me she is not "healing" on the other side yet..its been two years since she passed.

Hello tuxedo meow

My thoughts are a bit different. Dreaming of the deceased is not unusual, but it is not always the result of a visit. I have found that there is a distinctly different feel to a dream when the deceased is truly visiting. Did this dream feel like a visit from your mother?

I have had these types of dreams as well, where the deceased appears in some kind of distorted or disfigured way. In my own experience, I have found these dreams to be more about me and have nothing to do with an actual visitation by the loved one.

So, in my opinion, this is an image of your mother, but it is not your mother. In this dream she is a symbol reflecting something about yourself. Her distorted/disfigured legs likely represent something about yourself or some aspect of your life that is distorted or perhaps crippled.

You said your daughter had some visits … what was her experience? How did your mother appear to her?

What do you think?

My daughter said my mom came and told my daughter that if she listened my mom could help her become more powerful and capable or something like that.
My daughter did not want the visits but maybe her grandma was trying to help her realize that she should stop hurting herself with bad choices.

So, do you think this dream was about your mother? Do you think it reflected a visit by her? Or could it have been a reflection of self?

I do not know for sure what I think about it.

I think it shows my mom does not want to go through the after death process of releasing and healing and going on...I think it shows her struggling to remain in some kind of "charge" on our plane of existence and is unable to do so. I think her legs like that show she is not able to walk that walk until she is "processed" if that makes sense...
The "visit" would have been the man who said what a wonderful man my father was. IMO?

That makes sense to me.

I hope she soon finds her way to moving on.
