Hi,
This is the second time this week where I've had a horrible dream involving myself harming my little half sister, who just turned 5 on 10/23. In the first dream, I abused her mentally and made her cry. I think there was some physical abuse too. I usually write down my dreams but not ones like that. So I don't remember many details. But today I dreamt that I was babysitting her while parents were out of town, and I gave her a kitchen knife, and let her play outside. In the dream she murdered her 2yr old sister (my other half sister,) and then either accidentally or purposefully fatally injured herself. It's hard to explain, but when I gave her the knife, a part of me knew she would do those things, and I turned a blind eye for a few hours. Then when they didnt come home, I went out to find them and saw the scene. Our front yard was a cornfield, but we dont live by a cornfield in real life. All the neighbors got involved and I had planned to play innocent until I admitted that I had given her the knife. I realized I screwed up and that it would make my life hell, but I was more traumatized by the realization that I gave her the knife on purpose. I woke up after this.

It was probably the worst dream I've ever had.
After reading the thread on past lives in Astro 2.0, I think the dreams have something to do with a past life. They were not normal stress induced dreams and caused me grief in real life. I also have never lived with my half sisters and only see them on occasion. I have a crazy connection with the 5yr old, i see a lot of myself in her and I love her as if she were my child.

If anyone has any insight... Please do tell. This is so odd to me. Thanks for reading

Hello Selenite

A past life experience is possible. There are a couple of other possibilities as well.

There is a lot of inner conflict represented in this dream. My first impression is that your half-sister is a reflection of your younger self, especially since you see a lot of yourself in her. Now this is only a possibility, so I could certainly be wrong, but it is a place to begin narrowing down the interpretation … Are you aware of experiencing any abuse when you were her age, and possibly younger?

Could be.

The question is, what is this dream trying to tell you? How does this dream reflect you in your current state? Let's look at the themes and feelings of the dream.

Abuse. Neglect. Guilt? Murder?

Have you been feeling guilty about something lately? Have you "gotten away with murder" and feel bad about it?

If this does not sound right, then we may need to look more deeply inward.

I'm also curious about the cornfield. Was it green and growing, or brown and ready for harvest? What do you associate with it?

Have you had any more bad dreams since this one?

Hello again and thanks for your help

I feel like my current state has changed significantly since then, so I don't remember exactly how I felt when I dreamt it. But I know I wasn't upset about anything, I had been feeling pretty peaceful actually. And I don't think I get away with things in general, so it's unlikely that I felt like I got away with anything. I've had disturbing dreams since then but not about my sisters or murdering anyone.

I think this dream concerned me so much because it was so intense and so seemingly out of place with how I feel in my waking life. That's why I feel that it was a hint about a past life experience. Also because of the fact that I even considered it to be a possible past life experience. That is extremely rare for me. I have a lot of disturbing dreams which I document closely for some reason and I've only gotten the past life feeling one other time, like ten years ago.

The cornfield was thick and golden. I've never seen a cornfield in real life. And the house was smallish but felt very homey, there was no sense of 'this is a random house in my dream,' if that makes sense. A lot of times in dreams I know when I'm not in a place that exists to me in waking life.. and this just felt familiar and normal.

I'm not sure if it's trying to tell me anything, maybe it just happened so I would post on this forum and listen to your insight and think closely about my early life and how its influenced me.. Who knows. There are probably a lot of reasons for it I think if it WAS a past life hint then I'll find out more if I need to. And if I ever need to find out more to learn something in this life, then I'll have had this dream experience to make the connection for the future.

Thanks again.. have a good night ^_^

Dreams are always telling us something, and you are right, the exact message may not become apparent until some connection is made in the future.

Since you feel pretty strongly that this dream reflects a past life experience, that is probably the best direction to take, and it could make a lot of sense.

This being the case, the dream can be described as a piece of the puzzle in your quest to become whole, to understanding more about the "whys" of your present incarnation, as our past life experience has a direct effect upon our present experience. This dream could serve to shed some karmic light upon the reasons for your experiences of abuse when you were younger … you abuse, you get abused … and perhaps glean some understanding of the cycle of abuse within your family, with whom we often reincarnate again and again.

It seems that you have learned much already in this life, most importantly how to FORGIVE, which is the second most powerful force in our existence (LOVE being the first), and which is key to breaking a karmic cycle. Perhaps it is from your more enlightened perspective in this life that you will be able to put the pieces of your past selves back together in your evolution to becoming more whole.

As terrible as this dream was, it is perhaps part of a very important healing energy.

Walk in Peace
