Hi everyone

I decided to try a little exercise that I had tried before and once had success with. The last time I tried it I came face to face with a cobra in my dreams this time around it was a magnificent stallion. The horse may have been quite wild but I think I may have had an easier time connecting with it than I did the cobra.Although I do wish the cobra had made another appearance in my dreams. I'm not sure if its still with me or if It just appeared for a brief while to teach me its lesson.I hope the horse will stay for for longer.I read somewhere that we all have one animal that has been with us from the beginning.I am happy to receive messages from the ones that are only going to be in my life temporarily but I was hoping that I can find the one which has always been here with me and is here for the long run.

I was in my house when this red or brown coloured horse burst into my home. I'm not exactly sure whether I should say it was red or brown or chesnut.I've looked at images of those colours of horse on Google and I think they seem to look similar.Anyway the important thing is I know it was a horse. It charged at me and almost knocked me over.It was wild and seemed to be in distress.I had intended to try and calm it down and just before I got the chance to move towards the horse I hear my grandfather tell me not fear the horse and take control of the situation.I was also informed that horse was going to be put down without any real reason and
this really me mad.I felt so bad for that horse because I felt a connection to it.From that moment I decided I was somehow going to save the horse.Although I didn't let the people who wanted to put the horse know this and I hide my intentions from them.I was determined that the horse was going to live because I was going to save it.I really felt bad for that horse and as wrong as it is to say it I probably felt a greater urge to protect and save it more than I do for of my family members.I knew in order to help it I had to calm it down first. So I moved towards it and it seemed to resist me with all it its strength.I did struggle with trying to calm it down but I just continued with what I was doing.I didn't really get to fully calm it before the dream ended but I felt more confident as time passed and I thought that eventually the horse was going to realise I wasn't trying to hurt it I just had to be patient.

I interpreted the horses wild nature as a message that I had to control aspect of myself that was out of control.I do hope though that the horse means more to me than just its shadow side and I really would like to think I have the horses strengths as well as its weaknesses.I can be out of control at times but there are times were I have been justified when people who wished to control me and use me for their selfish gains got the brunt of it.There have been times maybe when some people where maybe less deserving that where in close proximity got hurt. For the most part I end up causing trouble through my detached nature and carelessness.I can when I am really angry make calculated decisions but that's usually when I feel I have been pushed to my limits.I may give some people a good bit of lee way before I strike and then they take that for granted and assume they can do whatever they want.Perhaps they sense the part of me that that's like that horse. The thing is sometimes even when I am minding my own business not doing anything wrong they think they can try and hurt me and rein me and portray as the bad guy who's solely to blame just because I make them feel insecure.I guess they just don't like the idea that I'm detached enough to throw them off my back and trample them and can mirror there own nasty tendencies back at them.I can be insecure and I have made bad judgements before but the thing Is I have ignored bad feelings about other people that I wish I had trampled and paid the price for it.

I do feel connections to horse and love their freedom loving nature.I love to roam and explore.I can even be loyal and helpful to loved ones if I can.If I am committed to something I can throw myself into it.I really do hope that I can be more like the positive side and that the horse stays with me.Its just at the moment I am feeling feeling frustrated and trapped.I think I may be also embodying negative aspects of the cobra and horse but I also think I am showing signs of positive traits of these animals.

Please read it as additional information on your interpretation:
A puce horse can signify true and certain instincts. Other words that I can think of are beauty, speed, inspiration and power. Horses in general reflect your inner feelings and a horse will approach confident, patient leaders.

Thanks Randall. I actually already searched for for it even though I didn't know the name and eventually found it.I also discovered this song Live like horses by Elton John and Luciano Pavarotti http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SvG0Bpwrts
Both songs where really good.I only know a couple of his songs but I'm thinking I'll have to look up more of his stuff.I like The circle of life,Can you feel the love tonight,I'm still standing and The ***** is back.Tina Turner is great and she does a great cover of the ***** is back.Speaking of her here she is dancing with a horse. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GC5E8ie2pdM

I also like this Wendy Rule song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eT2JDTMzKkQ

I guess I definitely am born In the year of the Metal Horse.

Hello Panthera Leo

You've done a very good job analyzing your dream. I agree that the horse represents a certain wild aspect of yourself that you may need to control, as well as reflecting your desire to be free and unharnessed from feeling frustrated and trapped.

Your grandfather appears in many of your dreams. Does he represent a support, or a wisdom figure to you? He says to "not fear the horse and take control of the situation". Your actions and attitude in the dream suggest the use of strength, perseverance, and patience.

I don't know if Horse is you totem animal or not, but it certainly has a message for you.

Thanks Ra

I see him as someone who has always been there and genuinely has my best interests at heart even though sometimes we have had awkward moments. We don't always see eye to eye but I think I have learned that even though he may not been correct every single time he did have good intentions.I have to forgive him and humour if he is the wrong. He is one of the every people I can truly forgive or at least things go even if there are some negative feelings still there.Sometimes in his own way he will some wisdom I agree though.Along with my mother and grandmother I feel as I If would do whatever it takes to keep them safe and I am very unforgiving to those who would try them.
