Hi Does anyone have a method for developing a system of interpretation for their dreams? My deceased uncle told me that if I write my dreams down I will start to see patterns as those dreams become manifest in waking reality. My dreams do come true, and there is a code. For instance my mother appearing in my dreams usually represents my inner self, maybe my subconscious (?). If I dream about someone new (someone I haven't met yet) they will be represented by someone I already know with similar features and energy. I have been too lazy to follow my uncle's advice and have wasted maybe 10 years not developing a code for my dreams. I wonder if anyone else has a method for interpreting their own dreams? I am hoping talking about it can get me motivated. IP: Logged |

Some people in here have a Dream Log. I like this idea very much. I started to write down my dreams some years ago. Than I talked to friends about dreams and the way they see it. I dedect those "codes" very easy by now, but they have changed over the years.IP: Logged |

I know a guy who is pretty psychic and one thing he's learned is that big changes are represented by tornadoes. If they carry him away then he's about to move, if they drop him about where they picked him up he thinks he'll have to move but not. One that was particularly haunting was a tornado that destroyed the entire world and as he picked his way out of the rubble he saw his partner with a relative of his who turned out to look a lot like the man his partner was cheating on him on with. And when it came out his entire personal world was destroyed, it was a traumatic experience. Needless to say whenever he dreams of tornadoes he pays very close attention to the dream content. Though strangely other disasters (tidal waves, earthquakes swallowing him, nukes, even alien invasion fleets) don't seem to have any psychic meaning at all (though they tend to reflect more mundane aspects of his life, tidal waves for powerful emotions, for example, nukes are often during times of intense stress, etc). But as for me, I don't have prophetic dreams (had some strange ones that I say are paranormal, however). The one dream that was prophetic was extremely literal with only a couple of off things (for example, I dreamed it was Christmas but it instead happened on Easter), and I knew the dream was significant when I woke up but it was also about something very mundane with the dream changing nothing so I don't know why I dreamed of it...I sure could've used much more of a heads up at other times of my life!
