Can someone help me interpret my dream? I don't remember what kind of place I was in but I knew I was in a room in a building. I turn and see him walking towards me but I'm scared because I thought he would break my heart again and I start to turn around but he catches me and starts hugging me. I am shocked by this but then I start to hug him back tightly. I wake up and I start feeling sad because I miss him.

I can kind of relate.

Been having ex in my dreams. Did last night. Waking up from the dreams puts me in a melancholy mood.

It stinks doesn't it. This is the first dream I've had of him in a long time. Just when I thought I could finally get over him, he pops up again and the melancholy starts over. Arrgh.

I ended up getting more closure yesterday through a mutual friend.

Found out he hung out with his ex shortly after dumping me.

I thought he was a lot smarter than that. Their relationship was highly toxic from what he told me.

A few weeks he told me that she is "bat sh*t crazy" and that he does not talk to her. I will stay civilized but I have lost a ton of respect for him.

Oh, wow, he sounds like a total hypocrite.. Not cool. :/
Glad to hear you got closure from it.
As for me I think I got many closures but it's such a roller coaster ride to get over him. If he straight up told me he didn't have any feelings for me anymore I would be over him in a snap. In December he stared at me for 5 minutes and it left me confused. Next time he does that again I'm going to confront him and ask.

I am straightforward as well.

Please read it as an opinion:
The dream symbol of embracing always points to physical nearness, to tenderness and to security. The dreamer would like to be held. To leave a room and close the door can be seen as a closed topic. This dream indicates that the Ex remains(=room), because of the feeling of security (=hugging).

I just hope he doesn't avoid the question and start running away (Sag Mars. Hmph.)

Oh I would love to be held by someone I love so dearly. There was no door but there's a hallway that connects to I don't know where. Probably another room

He has a girlfriend and I think that's closure enough but he never ever said he didn't have feelings for me anymore and he always stares at me. Ah I just want to go to his house right now and ask! But I don't want to look like a creep

That is an indication of a new beginning. There are many people in here, that can help you on this way.

I wish you all the best on your way!

oh man wow. I hope you get the answers you need soon.

Yeah I guess it helps that he told me he sees no future with me.
But then he immediately seeks out his ex who works at Wendy's and has 2 kids from different fathers. Now that right there is futurtastic! Whatever floats his boat.
But yeah, it looks like he is rebounding with his ex. I know better not to do that myself. If I was her, I would not be flattered that my ex seeks me out shortly after getting out of a relationship. If he did that after dumping me, he would most likely go back to me after dumping her.

Thanks Stawr.

What the heck. Wow. Him coming back to you after saying that he sees no future with you seems really flighty and unstable. This is not the type of person you should be with.

You know, that's exactly what my ex did too. Before everything happened she said she asked him if he still had feelings for me (we were close in the past) and he didn't say anything so she broke up with him. Then he did the things your ex did. Especially when he broke up with me and then tried to string me along by sending me romantic pics and saying that he's afraid I won't like him anymore EVEN though he said he missed his girlfriend a lot. If he was afraid, he wouldn't have broke up with me. If he had common sense, he would have known I wouldn't pursue him because he liked someone else. He basically wanted me to be his second option if he broke up with her. I actually texted him after almost a year saying hi and then he broke up with his girlfriend thinking I wanted to get back with him. I actually did, but I wanted to start over. Then he went back to his girlfriend because he wanted to get back with me right away but learned that I wanted to be friends first.

Typing this now, realize I don't really want to get back with him because of how fast he can break up with someone and get with someone else so fast. But as I said before I can't seem to get over him.

Hello Einfuhlung

Just when you think you are over him … the subconscious pulls out the remaining residual energies associated with him and plays around with it. This is not uncommon, and could even be considered a healthy step in the separation process. It could indicate that there is still unfinished emotional business concerning him, but it could also just be subconscious "death-throes".

I considered being friends a bit last night.

But my subconsciousness in my dreams told me I was not ready. I had a dream that he wanted to hang out with my dad, but not me.
And I was really annoying like "hey, what are doing, where are you guys going, when will you be back!!??" And pacing around worrying about it.

The way I was behaving reminded me off this very annoying socially off girl I work with. Meaning I did not like they way I was acting in this dream.
But is funny to make that comparison.

This! Thank you Ra. I've read somewhere even if you've moved on you can have dreams where your ex is in it but that can mean that it's showing you how far you've come and grown from the breakup. Your post reassures me of that

The moving on process doesn't feel that healthy because of the emotional pain, but if it means I'm really close to getting over him, then that's just pretty dandy.

Lol that is funny.

Me personally doesn't think being friends with an ex is a good idea... IF you still have feelings, especially strong feelings. It just goes downhill when you want to get back with someone who doesn't treat you right and only cares about his needs.

It helps that your dream told you that at the right time. Fascinating. Why can't my dreams warn me of things when I plan to do something? Haha

my ex and I had a spiritual connection kind of.
Yeah I'm not sure if we can achieve being friends that hang out one on one. If anything, acquaintances on fb. I only know one person who can be friends with exes that's not "shady looking."

Best advice I got was don't hang out with him until you are over it.

haha yeah, what a concept!

Still in my dreams. I had a dream that we were stuck in a room with random people. He fell asleep, I decided that I shouldn't wake him up and left him in there. I walked down the hall with a little girl holding my hand. I still wondered when he would wake up and where he would go.

It's very draining going though a break up like this. Starting to get my spark back though.

I did not get home til almost 9 last night, and the first thing that shows up on my news feed is a close up of his face. I was just like screw it, I'm going to bed right now.

I think I might want to edit my settings so that I don't have to see his.

ugh 2 nights in a row!
I had a dream I cheated on him w/ guy I shortly dated in high school.

I hung out with the ex after in dream and he barely acknowledged my existence. In the dream I was thinking "this why I cheated on you"

I never cheated on him in the relationship in real life.

And last night he wasn't in my dream, but his car was. I had a dream that my sister and our friend picked me up in one of his cars. I was just like "why do we have his car?? He needs it back, but I don't want a reason to see him."

I am now especially creeped out cause he posted a pic of his car on FB and saw it on my news feed this morning. I've been contemplating making it so that I cannot see his news feed on my FB.

Maybe this would help get him out of my subconscious when I'm sleeping. I recently cut ties from him a little more on fb. I wonder if that's triggering the dreams.
