I was sitting on the bathtub watching fish swimming. Think they were black and small. I was calm, as were they, but I was also waiting for The Fish, which I knew would be coming sooner or later. A bigger one came, smallish shark (or so I thought) but when it turned its head in water I saw it was the one I had been waiting for and I panicked and tried running out from the bathroom but the fish jumped after me and bit my arm with its sharp teeth. I tried getting it off me but couldn't. It was black too. Then I woke up. Have been googling and gotten various interps. I dream a lot and they mostly end up being true one way or another so what could this mean?? IP: Logged |

Please read it as an opinion: C. G. Jung sees the fish as a symbol for the Self. Jung means consciousness and sub consciousness in their entirety. They are to be evaluated positively as they appear as food and therefore as an expression of mental energy, but also danger threatening as the big living beings which we cannot defeat, because they attack us from the murky depths (the consciousness!) suddenly. A dream about fish produces the connection with the emotional side of the dreamer. The fish makes clear that the talent of the dreamer does not lie in the strategically thinking. To be pursued or attacked by a shark can mean, that the dreamer sinks into despondence on account of inevitable repercussions. To be bitten or eaten by a shark can mean that the dreamer will be injured by other people and even admits it. This dream indicates that an isolated (=black) part of the sub consciousness wants to be seen (=shark) and healed (=bathtub).

I'll ponder on that. Thank you! IP: Logged |

Hello charlie Both the bathroom and fish, particularly many small ones, can be symbols for instinctual or unconscious energies, and the color black represents the unconscious or unknown as well. It almost seems as if something is bothering you, something in the back of your mind, and you are waiting for, or expecting, something bad to happen. What are you afraid of? Do you fear that something will disable you, limit your ability/mobility, or otherwise render you defenseless? (bit on arm) Sometimes small fish in a container can symbolize pregnancy … Do you have some fear/concern of pregnancy or having a child? Just some ideas. IP: Logged |

I am having second thoughts about having a child (see another post I made in Sweet Peas) for many reasons (see other post + a few other reasons as well)and I am also scared that I am completely losing control over my inner Self. My intuition-when it is available...-is on high alert but my brain is telling me to try and think with reason and logic, and to be grateful for what I have in my life! Lately I have been putting a "lid" on myself since I am fearing I will absolutely blow a fuse. I am extremely uncomfortable to be around when angry/upset and 99% of times I can control it but it's boiling now. So maybe that is what dream is about then :-/ IP: Logged |
