Started my new job and life has taken over a bit. I have been having a super emotional week, not sure if the upcoming eclipse has made me more sensitive!

I have been feeling unsure of my current status with my boyfriend…whether we can pull through this tough time, he is living in another country and everything is uncertain.

I had a dream last night, having not dreamt of him for a while. I dreamt we were in a house, it felt old, the walls were a light brown, there were reds and yellow (mustard) colours in the room. I was on a velvet sofa and we were sleeping and then making love on this sofa, it was all red and intense. He stood up, all naked and shut the door to the hallways as we could hear a male member of his family out there and I remember the image of him naked shutting the door and glimpsing his male relative.

It felt sensual, fearful, intimate yet public.

He was still in the room when he shut the door - I was on the sofa, admiring his body as he got up - he was totally naked! There was yellow color to the dream, and red too.

He shut the door, and I peered up from sofa to see who was outside the room and glimpsed the male figure. The house felt different too - exotic, wood, velvets.

Wow! You perceive dreams in such an interesting way, I think the crux of the dream is what you indicated here: "reveal the will to talk about awkward subjects without inhibitions.' YES, this is what I would like. The sexual desire is very much about missing him but also the vulnerability. The male figure disturbing us is also I think my fear that his family will get in the way of our love together and pose a threat.

Ultimately the colors of yellow and red have been powerful in my dreams.

I have given this dream some thought as well. There are similarities and some differences with GeminiKarat's thoughts, so a bit will be repetitive.

The house could reflect the status of your relationship - old, but in a good way … mature, comfortable, and interesting. Sleeping on the velvet sofa together suggests that you have comfort with the relationship, and making love on it, "all red and intense", reflects the love and passion that can exist.

Seeing him naked and admiring his body again suggests a comfort with him and intimate knowledge of who he is. Closing the door could be a signal of commitment, as if to say "look no further", but I'm not sure. Closing out the family member could indicate the "closing out" of familial influences.

Yellow can symbolize awareness, but also fear or caution. Perhaps it is a reflection of your fearful/cautious feelings.

Now, all of this sounds rather positive, and perhaps it is. It could either reflect the best of possibilities within your mind, or it could foretell a possible future.

All that said, it still feels like I am missing something, some underlying energy. So I do notice something else, but how or even if it applies, I do not know. I may be over-analyzing.

Jung suggested things that are old (old house) indicate that a change/transformation/transition is soon to come.

Alchemically, both red AND yellow/gold are associated with the final stage of transformation.

A door can be a symbol for transition.

Going from sleep to making love could indicate a shift or change in energy.

Being naked can represent shedding of certain energies in preparation for new ones - change.

That's a lot of "changing" symbology hidden in there.

So what I see underlying the surface of the dream is change/transformation. How or if this applies, I do not know.

Any feelings about this?

Thank you for thinking about this dream too ; I remember we discussed the dream two years ago about the fruit orchard and my boyfriend and I and the fruit of luscious apples and yellow pears. That was within the first couple of months of meeting my boyfriend and starting a relationship. The color symbolism was really integral. Regarding this dream I do think there is change coming too - familial influences are huge in my boyfriends family - he has been looking after a family member through transplant surgery the last 7 months. It was significant to me that he shut the door on the male figure outside the door and in hallway and was naked while doing so. The colors were hazy yet enveloping. I have just changed job and started a challenging one, this shift in me has made me yearn for stability. I want to build a future with my boyfriend. He is choosing and deciding how to develop his career - there has been lots of uncertainty the last few months. It didn't feel like an ending dream. The passion is there.

I'm hoping as life progresses all will become "clear". The eclipse energy has been tough this week too!

I remembered this dream - the swirling energy of it, the murkiness of red and yellow and doors opening and closing and of family spectators and interruptions.

Also the love present in the dream.

This dream came to my mind today - it has been some time since that dream in March. My boyfriend and I were on a break from May until June. He contacted one month after breaking it off. I do feel the disturbance in the dream was an indicator of what was to come...

Also that the love and energy in the dream was still powerful.

Yes, it does. Ra also picked up on the changing energy. I still do not know what caused the break but he has come back now. I suspect it has been family pressure, the disturbance of the other male figure in the dream, outside the door etc.
