I dreamt I was in a house that looked like it took the inside of my actual home but tweaked where the rooms were and furniture placements.
The dream starts where I'm sitting on the toilet, looking like I'm using it because my pants were down but nothing was coming out. There was no doors either, so I could see the living room through an entrance to my right,, and another room that I never paid attention to through the entrance in front of me. In the living room, my ex's dad was there, sitting on the couch. I don't remember if he was watching me, but I think he was. My brother walks up to me from the front and starts talking to me while I'm still on the toilet. I don't remember what we talked about. Then I'm suddenly not using the toilet anymore and I'm in the living room, but it looks different and it reminds me of the living room from my home back in Louisiana, only that the floor is of wood instead of carpet. I see myself for a second that's sitting on the ground in front of a tv that's off. My brother sits beside me, and we're going through cassette tapes or DVDs. I don't see myself anymore, because I revert back seeing through my own perspective, and I notice my ex is there at the other end of the living room and sitting on the couch, taking glances at me from time to time with a blank expression. Then I find myself standing at the left entrance of the toilet room, looking at my ex sitting on the couch in the living room and looking ahead at the turned off tv opposite of him.

So... What does my dream mean?

Please read it as an opinion:
A toilet in a dream can sometimes speak in a remarkable and a little bit embarrassing simile of the discharge or of the emotionally finished ballast. The dreamer creates order in this dream and gets rid of what is used. That may was felt as a dirt or mud by the person. A TV in a dream can be associated with the picture or history of the reality. The left side in general can symbolise the unconscious or the female side. This dream indicates a reprocessing (=toilett) of the male(=brother,ex) and the female(=left) aspect and the way to look at it(=TV).

Hello Einfuhlung

This dream could suggest that there is something you need to "relieve" yourself of (sitting on toilet) but have not (nothing coming out) because you have not been paying attention to it (room you never paid attention to) even though it is "right in front of you" (entrance in front of you). It could be that your dream-mind is trying to "expose" this issue (no doors on bathroom/being watched and talked to while on toilet).

This issue could be related to your past (Louisiana home), perhaps to your ex or some other old relationship. It is suggested that this issue is "recorded" in your mind (tapes/DVDs) but is not actively in the forefront of it (TV off), just like the " room that I never paid attention to through the entrance in front of me". There is something in/on your mind that you have been ignoring or at least not paying sufficient attention to. Perhaps it is time to release it, and relieve yourself.

Any idea what "it" could be? Is it an experience, an attitude, an aspect of yourself, or some other issue?
